When life hands me a problem that I think I can't overcome, I look to these two and I know that with them by my side, there is nothing that will slow me down. They calm my inner storms, and fill me with a peace I've never known.




Felicia is the name   I am 22 years old, and mommy to the beautiful Rylee Jane, and fiance to Jessy Lee. They are my life. My mom was obsessed with General Hospital, and that is where my name came from. Speaking of moms, my mom passed away on Mother's Day 2007 from complications with Diabetes. I never got to say goodbye. It's something that will haunt me for the rest of my days.

My mom was a teen mother. She was 14 when she gave birth to me, and watching her struggle, I feel a sense of sadness for the girls/boys that are giving up their childhoods/innocence to become parents at such a young age. I'm not saying that I'm against teen parents. I just feel that being responsible for another person's life is not something you should be worrying about at 14 years old.

I grew up in a violent, unstable household. I was constantly told that I was bad, wrong, horrible, rotten. My mom tried committing suicide in front of me, and told me that it was my fault. I was beat on a regular basis, while my brother was doted on. Childhood was a very confusing, sad time for me, but without those experiences I wouldn't be who I was today. In my own way, I've forgiven my mom for how I was treated. I know that she resented me because she gave up her childhood to keep me. Even though that is in no way my fault, I suffered for it. Because of this, I work extremely hard every single day to be the best parent I can be. Rylee will never be told that she is anything but special, amazing, beautiful. She will never be afraid of me, and she will never have a hand raised to her in anger. I will give up and do whatever is necessary for her to grow up into a strong, beautiful, confident woman.
