I am 31yrs old and my husband is 34yrs old, we are expecting our first child that we conceived through IVF. After TTC for 4 yrs we finally decided to do it through some help form Invitro. We got a baby on the 1st try and hoping that we won't need another try. We had 24 eggs retreived, 19 got fertilized and 11 of them where of good quality at the end of 5 days. I got 2 transfered (the other 9 are cryopreserved/frozeen) in to my uterus and according to the doctor there's only one little guy/girl in there. I still think there's two of them, I have a regular ultrasound on Wendesday Aug 6th to see how the baby's doing. I've already had 2 viginal ultrasounds and everything looks great. But I still think that my other baby is hidding behind the other one!!!! I'm hoping that my regular ob can see it in a couple of days. I've lived in NM all my life, grew up in Las Cruces and moved to Albuquerque 5 yrs ago. I met my husband here in Albuquerque. He is from Cuba so I will have a little cuban/american baby!!!

This is Kevyn...He was born dec. 24th 2008, he was our Christmas gift from God. He came 10 weeks early an d weighed 3lb 10oz. and was 16.5" long.He came home 38 days after he was born and he already weights 6lb 5oz and is 18.5" long.

How much did the IVF cost? I was just curious.

I just wanted to say thank for commenting back on the IVF issue. My sister jsut called to say that out of the 16 only 6 became fertilized so on Wednesday i guess we find out how many are viable. Still again I ask are those number still good?? I hate to ask her these things because it's already been a hard enough process on her. Going into details no matter how curious I am just doesn't seem appropriate....and so I call on my BG mamas for help!!

I find out on the 21. I think its a boy but like you said you can never be sure!!
