My name is Ashley, I'm 20 y/o, and my child was born on February 10, 2009. She weighed in at 6 lbs 6 oz, and was 18.5 inches long. I have a wonderful bf & he makes a wonderful daddy. Many people are try to tell me that young parents make bad parents, but who are they to judge?

I found out I was pregnant on July 1st, 2008 (I think). When I first found out, I was told I was already 8.5w. Come to find out, they were off a bit.

The first 2 times we heard the heartbeat, it was 170 or so, and then 160-something. I don't remember the dates of those.

*We moved from AL to KY in the beginning of August.*

The first ultrasounds were done on August 26, 2008. I was 15w. The third time we heard the heartbeat (150bpm).

The next ultrasounds were done on September 23, 2008. I was 19w. This is also when we found out that we're having a girl! The fourth time we heard the heartbeat (154bpm).

Her full name will be Brooklyn Hope White.

Went to the doctor again on October 21, 2008. 23w. Heartbeat was 155bpm. She also kicked the heck out of the doppler. Doctor also said that everything looks wonderful, she's growing perfectly fine.

Doctor on November 18, 2008. Heartbeat was 156/157bpm, & she kicked the doppler several times. I was 27w measuring 28w.

Doctor on December 16, 2008. Heartbeat started in the 130s, jumped into the 150s, then settled at 146bpm. Visits will be every 2 weeks now. 31w, so I'm almost there!

Doctor on December 30, 2008.Heartbeat was 162bpm. 33w.

Doctor on January 13, 2009. 35w. Heartbeat started at 154bpm, then jumped to 162, then 167, then 170. She obviously hates her "apartment" getting squished on. Visits are going to be every week now. Doctor also said that if I go into labor at this point, he will not stop it!

Doctor on January 20, 2009. 36w. Heartbeat was 140bpm. The doctor gave me a paper to go get bloodwork done, to check my blood's clotting abilities. He also said that he will start checking me next week (oh joy). I was also told that I'm supposed to be drinking a gallon of water a day (thats a whole 16 cups)!

Doctor on January 27, 2009. 37w. Heartbeat was 148bpm. The doctor checked me today and I'm 1 cm and 50 % effaced, and he felt her head! He also said that if I'm at least 2 cm next week, then he can induce me at 39 weeks.

Doctor on February 3, 2009. 38w. Heartbeat was 134bpm. DR checked today, and I'm 2 cm and 50 % effaced. We set a date for induction. I have to be at the hospital at 3 AM on Tuesday February 10, 2009!

Brooklyn Hope White was born February 10, 2009 at 7:33 pm through emergency c-section. She weighed 6 lbs 6 oz and was 18 1/2 inches long. She was born with a head FULL of hair!

02/17/09 (1 week check-up) - 5 lbs 11 oz
02/23/09 - 5 lbs 13 oz
Her weight then dropped to 5 lbs 9 oz.
03/06/09 - 6 lbs 13 oz 19.5-20 inches long (she had bad diaper rash =(she wasprescribed rash creams)
03/10/09 - Rash is gone!
03/12/09 (1 month check-up) - 7 lbs 10 oz 20 inches long (almost a pound in 1 week!) Dr. said she should weigh about 9 lbs at her 2 month check-up.


03/27/09 - ER because she had the sniffles, found out its an Upper Respiratory Infection. She weighs 9 lbs 4 oz. Wasn't supposed to hit the 9 lb mark until 04/13.
04/13/09 (2 month check-up) - Weight: 10 lbs 10 oz Height: 21.5 inches. Dr also gave permission to start her on Rice Cereal.
5/19/09 (WIC Appointment: 3 months) - Weight: 14 lbs 4 oz. Height: 23.5 inches.
06/08/09 (weigh-in for kicks & giggles) - Weight: 15 lbs 8 oz. Height: 24 inches.
06/15/09 (4 month check-up) - Weight: 16 lbs 4 oz. Height: 24 inches.
07/17/2009 (weigh-in for kicks & giggles: 5 months) - Weight: 18 lbs 12 oz. Height: 25 inches.
08/17/09 (6 month check-up) - Weight: 19 lbs. even. Height: 27 inches.
11/17/09 (9 month check-up) - Weight: 21 lbs 8 oz. Height: 28.5 inches. Got flu shot and hep B shot, didn't cry, just looked like "you bitch, thems my legs!"
12/17/09 (2nd flu shot)

Well i finally gave into my feelings for my long time best friend, we've been living together for four months and i'm six weeks along with our first child. He's a marine and we plan on getting married sometime after his up coming deployment. I'm in school still def still going for my photojournalism major. We're really happy and excited and hoping for the best.

I know what you mean. When I heard c-section I got a mask put over my face and no time to react. Outside I was plying it cool but inside I was going crazy because I never thought in a million years I would have to have one. The only thing I kept thinking was how I watched all the birthing shows on women who had to have c-sections and everything came out ok. Once she was born thats when I broke down.
I know it was a lot of stress and pain after but we have beautiful babies that we wouldn't of had if we wouldn't have got the c-section.

cant wait to see pictures :] i bet your still in the hospital now and you have your lil one in your arms hopefully by now!!! Congratsss!!

Thanks for leaving a comment for me. I was reading your about me and thought it pretty funny how the first time you had your first u/s (Aug. 26) was the same day I did and then your appointment on the 23rd of september was also another one of my appointments.. okay I thought it was pretty funny. Oh and are babies may be born about the same time too, cause full term for twins is anywhere from 34-37 weeks.
