i am a first time mommy to a baby girl, kimberlee rebecca sue.

i am for formula feeding (this obviously does not mean i am against breastfeeding). i believe the mother should make this decision based on what is best for her situation.
i am for time-outs. although some feel it's apparently a humiliating form of punishment, it's effective in calming children down until they can understand what's going on again.
i am pro-spanking. of course i would not condone it to be the very first response you have, but it lets your child know who is in charge and why you are in charge (no one is going to agree with this, i know.)
i am against co-sleeping. i don't believe the pros outweigh the cons in this situation. my baby sleeps in her bassinet and will soon sleep in her own room in her crib. co-sleeping often makes it more difficult to get a child to sleep on their own in their own bed. (i realize this is my first child, but i have had much experience with young children and many phases of their lives.)
i am for feeding cereal. everyone will damn me for this also, and i realize that. my baby does get cereal occasionally and she is very healthy and intelligent.
i am pro-choice. although i'm not sure i could ever go through with it, i believe a woman has the right to decide this on her own.


kimberlee is finally here! after over 48 hours of labor and then a c-section, my 6 pound 8 oz, 19 3/4 inch baby was born on april 12, 2012 at 11:49 am! she's got to be literally one of the most gorgeous babies i've ever seen.

How did you feel when you found out?: scared, excited, shocked. thought i couldn't have kids.

What do you want. Boy or Girl?: wanted a boy first, but got a girl, which is just fine with us

Are you happy with what you are having?: i honestly had a little bit of gender disappointment, but got over it.

Who is going to be with you?: had planned on just jason and my mom, but i had my friend jenni with me also.
Are you going to video tape it?: um, no 
Natural or medicated? had to be induced and got medicine to help me sleep the first night, epidural for emergency c-section.
Do you think you will have a c-section?: i thought i would have to and DID end up having a c-section.
Do you think you will cry when you first hold your baby?: i thought i would, but i didn't. i was just glad to meet her.
Do you know what you will say to the baby when you first hold it?: i said "hi, kimberlee." and gave her a kiss.
Are you scared about the labor?: i was terrified. everyone told me it was going to be the worst pain i had ever felt... it wasn't though.

Is your baby going to be named after anyone?: yes. kimberlee is my best friend, rebecca is the middle name of one of my other best friends, and sue is my mom's middle name.
Did the daddy help pick the name?: sort of. lol.
