My little boy was a big surprise for me and my SO. Didn't find out about him til I was already 15 weeks along and everything changed that day. He is so precious. I couldn't imagine life without him.
My Labor Story:
Went in 12/28 in the afternoon to start my induction. Had my CRB placed around 5 and was left for the night. Passed time watching tv, on the computer, and walking around. Around 4 am my balloon was taken out. After a very restless night I was woken up at 5 to get ready for the doctor to come in. At 7am got checked, I was at a 4 and had my water broken and started pitocin. Contractions picked up and got really intense. I decided to get the epi since I hadn't gotten much sleep and knew I wouldn't be able to rest with the contractions. That got started at 10ish and I was able to rest and nap on and off. Had slow progress until about 5 and things started to pick up. By 600pm it was time to start pushing. Baby was still high so pushing was going to take a long time. After a few different positions and baby was starting to work his way down. I started feeling a lot of pressure and started feeling more intense contractions. Since this was my first I thought it was totally normal, but little did I know my epi had ran out and was starting to wear off. ( I didn't know this until the day after when my SO told me.)After pushing for almost 3 hours I refused to rest and continued pushing with each contraction. The let me know that I was close and after 9 pushes he was out. Born at 8:43 pm. 8 lbs 11oz and 22 1/2in long. He had a lot of extra fluid that had to be suctioned out but other than that he was perfect! I had 1 little tear that needed a couple of stitches. We had skin to skin time and I attempted to breastfeed. He latched but wasn't interested in staying very long.
He's my whole world and more than I could ever imagine! Perfect in every little way and I'm so in love
