Hi, my names Jackelyn Gelsomini (20) and my husbands name is Louis Gelsomini (23). We met back in 2009 and fell for each other instantly. We got engaged 6 months after we met and even though i was still in highschool i knew i had found the one. We got married on Dec 28th 2010 and a short 9 months later (how ironic) on September 15th, 2011, we found out we were expecting our first child. Then we got the best christmas present by getting to have our ultrasound done early and we saw that our little bundle of joy was a boy. We decided to name him Louis Carmen Gelsomini IV and our excitement grew. A month later we had our second anatomy scan to get the measurements they couldn't get in the first and he already weighed over a pound!! It was no suprise that at 36 weeks when i went for my last ultrasound they estimated his weight at just about 7.5 lbs. Needless to say i was hoping they were wrong but as long as he was healthy i was happy, they even said they saw hair on his ultrasound  . Well my due date came and passed and my doctor decided to induce me the following sunday. After nine months i was so ready to meet him but so nervous at the same time. My husband and i went to the hospital at 7pm on May 27th, 2012 and at 9pm they started me on cervidil to help my cervix along alittle bit. Since i was already 2.5cms they said it shouldn't take to long but not to get my hopes up that it'll work to quickly. Well boy were they wrong! by 11pm my contractions were 1 minute apart and very strong. By midnight i was up in labor and delivery and at 4cms so they said i could have the epidural. By 6am they took out the cervidil and broke my water. Then they came in at 11am and i was at 9CMS!!! my doctor was throuroughly shocked and told me that by the afternoon i'd have the baby. Just after 1pm they came in and checked me again and i was 10cms but at 0 station so my doctor said it wasn't quite time cause the baby wasn't dropping. Well me being the control freak i am asked the nurse if i could start pushing at an hour and 45 minutes later, at 2:57pm on May 28th, 2012 aka memorial day, i gave birth to a 8lb 6oz baby boy who was 20 1/2 inches long! My husband and i couldn't be happier and we're enjoying every moment of this whole experience. We have no plans as of yet on when were going to try again but more are deffinately in our future. Well anyway enough about me.
