I am a twenty-two year old graduate of Larue Co. High School who still doesn’t know what she really wants to do with her life. I attended college immediately after graduation and changed my major three times before I decided to step away, work full time, and figure out what I wanted out of life.
I was born and raised in the Hodgenville, KY area and will probably be somewhere within a fifty mile radius for a long, long time, although my real dream is to move to Alberta, Canada to enjoy the wildlife, beautiful scenery and cool weather. (Maybe one day, when/if I'm able to retire!)
I began working at sixteen years of age (McDonalds) and was there for three years. From there, I went to Fort Knox Federal Credit Union where I had my first experience working as a bank teller. I was there a little over a year when I landed my current position. I am now employed at Lincoln National Bank in Hodgenville, and have been since June of 2011. I love my job and my coworkers, and do not plan on changing jobs in the near future.
My husband and I will have been married three years this October, 2012, and we currently reside in Buffalo, KY. At this time, we are actively in the process of selling our first home to move closer to Hodgenville. We are currently expecting our first child, after a lot of trial, tribulation, and prayer and will welcome him or her into the world sometime in late January or early February! Until then, we have only our "furry babies"; two dogs, Cricket and Joey.
I have a lot of different hobbies, including reading, writing (most of all), collecting buttons, horseback riding, photography and X-Box and PC gaming. I have a strong faith and believe that everything that happens is in God’s plan for all of us. I trust in him to lead me (by any means, strange or otherwise) the way I'm meant to go.
I have an interest in all things Native American, as I have Cherokee in my blood, and have recently been made aware of my Totem and Power Animal, Wolf. I believe that animals are Gods messengers to us, much like angels, and that he sends their images, physical or in dreams, as a means of guiding us to do his will. I have had wolf dreams since I was old enough to remember, and still feel a strong connection between them, their beauty, and creator, our Lord God.
A lot of people find this a strange idea, but I don't think it's strange at all. If we believe that God speaks, why should he never speak to us through an animal, or the wind, or the weather? God is all powerful and mighty, and the world is his to command.
Job 12:7-10
“But ask the animals, and they will teach you, or ask the birds of the air, and they will tell you. Speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish of the sea tell you. Every one of these knows that the hand of the Lord has done this. The life of every creature and the breath of all people are in God’s hand.”
This world and this life we all experience everyday is a beautiful miracle, and we owe it to God: no one else.
