Hello. I am a male American graduate student taking a language acquisition class, and I'm writing a mini-research paper on invented words. I don't have any kids myself, so I was hoping that you could help me by sharing with me some invented words that you or people you know's kids have come up with. By invented words, I mean words that children invent spontaneously in their own speech, like bee-house for bee-hive , or plant-man for gardener, or cooker for cook, or to pillow for to throw a pillow at. Please tell me the age of the child when they invented the word(s), their gender, and the word(s). Thank you.
