alllast visit: 3 hrs agomember since: Jan 9th 2012about me:
I'm the mother of 3 boys.

Elijah Ray was welcomed August 13th 2009 weighing 6 pounds 12 ounces and 21 3/4 inches long. I went into labor on my own but still ended up with pitocin and he was born at 36w5d .

Malachi Nicho Jay was welcomed March 30th 2012 weighing 7 pounds 3 ounces and 19 3/4 inches long. I was induced at 39w4d and much preferred my l&d experience with him over Elijah's .

Nehemiah Kegan Lei was welcomed February 28th 2014 weighing 6 pounds 8 ounces and 19 1/4 inches long. I went into labor on my own and yet again ended up with pitocin and he was born at 36w4d.

That was our other thing. We wanted Biblical or Hebrew names. But unfortunately when I was pregnant with my daughter, I really wanted like Naomi, but I had a strong "calling" that she was supposed to be a Natalie, so that's what we named her.

My oldest is Jacob, not my choice. With the boys I let my husband pick, and my first husband was just so drawn to the name Jacob, that he had to have it. I usually make a list of 5 boys name, and then we try to agree on one we both like.

We chose Malachi because it meant, "speaker of God" or "messenger of God" and they all told me that he would pass or die upon birth, that he probably had a chromosomal abnormality. The our only hope would be that he would be approx 11lbs at 40 weeks, and that was our only saving point in knowing that he might be alright. So when he came out, and we really had to pick a good name, we felt like Malachi really had the right meaning behind it, and yeah Gideon did not.

Even now he's an outspoken little boy, at only 13 months, he's a social little person, he loves every one, babbles to everyone. And we just know it was the perfect fit.

Even in church now he's know for the baby who said "amen" we all laugh. He likes to imitate people and sounds he hears. So when he heard everyone saying "amen" after a prayer in church, he made the same sound. Everyone just about died laughing...that's our little Malachi.
