and on April 19th, we found out we were pregnant! due date was December 21st. We found out she was a girl. I was induced on December 16th 2012 and she was born on December 17th. Hours after birth, she was rushed to a specialty hospital and diagnosed with Transposition of the Great Arteries. She spent a month in the hospital, had a stroke at 3 days old, had open heart surgery at 3 weeks old and was discharged on January 18th 2013 (her brother's 5th birthday).
Olivia is a beautiful little girl who has changed a lot of lives when she was in the hospital. I thank God every day for her and for her brother, Jack.
It's a new kind of normal we live now, I try not to be too terribly paranoid because other than her scar and medicines and extra doctor appointments, she is a normal little baby.
