alllast visit: 6 hrs agomember since: May 3rd 2012about me:
My name is Tristan. My fiance's name is Andy. In March 2012, after a brief spring break at home with my mom I came back to my dorm only to find out AF was two weeks late. I took a test and it showed positive but I was in denial at first. I went to the store and bought a digital so that my SO could easily read the results to and wouldn't be able to deny it. The clear blue immediately flashed "pregnant" on the screen. In April I had my first OB appt. and ultrasound where I was estimated to be 9 weeks and 2 days along and due on November 27, 2012. In June we went for a level two anatomy scan where we found out our little bundle of joy was a bouncing baby boy. SO could not have been happier that he was no long the last male in his family. The pregnancy had a lot of stress in it and doctors didn't listen to me much. Then on November 8, 2012 with no contractions that I could feel and intense pressure I had never felt before I promptly went to the bathroom thinking I had to pee. Immediately my water broke. My mom drove me to the hospital where I was checked in at 11:15 am and put through all the test which all came back negative. The doctor came in and tried to send me home. I put my foot down and said I was not leaving until he answered why fluid had leaked from my womanhood for ten minutes straight. He said he'd do an ultrasound if I was that worried but it had to wait till he was done with appointments. At this point my mom had left and it was just me and SO. Four hours passed by without a word from the doctor and the nurse came in saying I should just go home. I told her no, I'd like an ultrasound to make sure he was ok cause he hadn't moved much all day. The doctor came in at 6:30 pm to do the ultrasound. The nurse is like I can see fluid he's fine and tried to continue her speech but the doctor told her to be quiet and get an IV ready. He was inducing me that day. My little man only had a small/medium pocket of fluid around his head and if it got any lower he would have suffocated. I was settled in my room with my family and SO hooked to the pitocin by 7. At first the contractions weren't bad but they kept bumping the pitocin up every hour and I just wouldn't progress. Finally I was coming off the bed it hurt so bad with contractions measuring 180 or higher. My mom finally talked them into going ahead and letting me get the epidural around midnight because I still had not progressed from the 2cm I had come in dilated. Thirty minutes later I was 4 cm and progressing well. I slept through the night only waking when the nurse came in to check. At 10 am on November 9th I was fully dilated but they said I had to wait to push because little guy had pushed up in my womb during the night. Finally at about a little after 1 I was ready to push. Chance Alexander Miller greeted the world at 1:23 pm on November 9, 2012. He was 6lbs. 11 oz. And 21 inches long. Today he is an active baby that is developing way beyond his age group. He stands with support, eats regular meals with baby food and formula mixed, sits in a highchair, has said his first word (he calls me MUM) lol, and is beginning to take his first assisted steps. I am proud of my little man
