Who am I to be so blessed? Thank you God for filling my life with the best kind of treasures.
I was born and raised in Vernon, Connecticut by the two best parents in the world. They have shown me the kind of parent that I want to be someday. I have a younger sister (Kathleen) and a younger brother (Kevin).
I joined the Air Force in 2005 and was stationed at Malmstrom AFB in Montana as a Chaplain Assistant. I was honorably discharged in 2009. During my time in the military, I met my husband Brian. He served as a member of the Air Force Security Forces for 6 years and he cross-trained into a different career field to become an Aerospace Medical Technician for the Air Force. Currently he is working at the Wright Patterson Medical Center in Ohio. I have my very own personal soldier and hero. Although we don't get to see each other as often as we like, we have come to value and appreciate the times that we are together.
I graduated from the University of Great Falls with a bachelor's degree in psychology with a concentration in counseling. I'm hoping to become a marriage/relationship and family counselor. Once I get settled in Ohio I'm hoping to attend Wright State University to get my master's degree specializing in couples counseling.
I have 2 little kitties, Chad and Jasmine, who are like my babies and I treat them that way. I have Crohn's Disease, an incurable autoimmune disease that affects my large intestine. I get worn down easy, and I've had my share of ups and downs. However, I believe that we need experience the 'downs' in life to truly enjoy the 'ups'. I have learned never to take good health for granted, but when I do feel good, I live life to the fullest.
I'm a Christian and I try very, very hard to live a Christian life. It's not always easy, but it's worth it.
I just moved to Wright Patterson AFB and I don't know too many other people, so I'd love to meet up with other military wives!
Brian and I are expecting our first child around Halloween. More details to follow!
