my names shelby. im a newlywed and we are expecting our first baby boy in october   I currently am a stay at home soon to be mom which can be a little boring at times. Im heavily into music and went to college as a piano major. I plan on teaching piano soon.

Travis Taylor Chappell was born Sept. 29th at 10:30pm 6lbs 5oz and 20 inches long   He was brought into the world 2 weeks early. I am totally and completely in LOVE with my son and I just want to show him off to the world and say HEY i made this! he is mine! look what i did   I cant get enough of him. I find myself just staring at him while he sleeps. <3

My wonderful husband and I were married on May 18th 2012. We had known each other for at least 2 years before we started dating. We actually hated each other at first LOL how things change. He lived in Alberta while I lived in BC. We knew each other actually from World of Warcraft...sad I know   We are both gamers. Thats how we came to like each other as just friends finally was from competing against each other. We ended up talking more and more and then moved onto the Skype long distance relationship. Within 2 months of dating long distance, he came out to visit me and took me to Vancouver Island for thanksgiving weekend. He preposed to me out on the island. Things went really quick but it felt soo right   I moved to Alberta Jan. 1 of 2012 and started planning our wedding.
Little did we know that within that first month of living together and planning a wedding that we really kicked off starting our family. We found out we were expecting at the start of Feb. I prayed my dress would still fit! Btw it did and it actually didnt make me look as pregnant as I really was. My husband knew that I was pregnant before I did. I took the tests but they came back negative. So I waited a little longer and took my third one and BOOM pregnant. I was scared at first but excited as well. Pregnancy wasnt easy for me. I ended up getting morning sickness pretty badly. Then around my 23rd week I ended up in the hospital for SEVERE pain in my right side. Enter kidney stones! So that was a 2 day stay in the hospital for me. They ended up putting a stent in so if I got more stones they would pass easier. Once that stent was in, I was in constant pain and was afraid of going to the bathroom because it burned like hell! I ended up getting at least 3 bladder infections from this thing but they refused to take it out. Then near the end of my pregnancy I was diagnosed with gestational hypertension. I was put on meds and they kind of worked..then they stopped. So my doctor set up an induction to get our little man here early. I ended up in the hospital twice before my induction due to my BP sky rocketing. But finally on Sept. 29th I was induced at around 1 pm and at 10:30 my little man Travis Taylor Chappell was born

Now our little man is almost 2 months old. I'm loving..most of it. There are days were Im ready to rip my hair out but then he goes and does something cute and it makes me melt..
Motherhood is not easy and I didnt expect it to be. But I know that if I can do this that I will be a stronger and more loving person then I have ever been in my life. I love my little family and Im glad that I got all of this within one year. It was fast but it was well worth it.
