July 18, 2012~ Positive home test
Aug 10, 2012~ First midwife appt: went great my weight is 184 lbs and bp is good. Most likely a ultrasound on friday.
Aug 17, 2012~ Ultrasound at 2:00. Baby Bean is doing great, heart rate is 158 BPM and we got to see its little arm and leg buds
Oct 5, 2012~ Second midwife appt: Went great. Took forever to find baby beans HB bc he/she was hanging out at the top of my uterus at the bottom of my bellybutton lol Heart rate is 160 bpm. Bp great and next friday going to get labs done and possible ultrasound if the hospital will do it at 16 wks and if not def one done at my next appt on Nov 8.
Nov 8, 2012~ Third midwife appt and second ultrasound, possible gender reveal as long as baby bean shows his/herself
Baby beans name is now Henry Cornett Mitchell. He was not shy at all and very active. His estimated weight is 14 oz, HB 142, BP was good and weight is 190. Only gained 10 lbs so far. Lots of movement now and its pretty regular.
Nov 26-27, 2012~ James and Starla got to feel Henry kick for the first time. Exciting <3
Dec 4, 2012~ Watched the side of my belly jump when Henry kicked. First time Ive seen it
Jan 24, 2013~ Fourth midwife appt. Went great, HB 136, BP was good and weight is 195 so only 15 lbs gained so far. Its all belly and nothing else
Feb 21, 2013~ Fifth midwife appt and final US. Went great like always, HB was 120, on the lower side but he wasnt moving alot. He was resting, prob tired from all the moving on the way to Alicia's lol. His weight is 6lbs 6oz right now so we figure he gonna be at least 8lbs if I go all the way to term. Weight is 200 so only 20 lbs gained so far. Much easier to lose this time around
March 15, 2013~ Sixth midwife appt, home visit. Home visit went great today, HB was 136 and he is really low and engaged so its just a matter of time before he comes. Excited <3
March 27, 2013~ My labor started at 8pm on tue night just minutes after my plug fell out. I wasn't sure if it was real labor or not so I went ahead and sent James to work and would call when I needed him. After about an hr or so I had determined that this was real labor and called my family to let them know. I also called one of my best friends Marissa to come and be with me since she was a nurse and had some medical experience in case I needed an ambulance before James got home. I called my midwife Alicia and let her know as well and knew there was a possibility she might not make it due to another woman in labor before me. I was mentally and physically prepared to have an unassisted homebirth if that was to happen. I walked around and straightened the house up some to stay busy between contractions and squatted or bent over or whatever felt right at the time to get through them. I called James after I done my Hibiclens rinse and got checked. Marissa said I was at 4 cm so I figured I had a ways to go. At this time it was about 1am and I went to go labor in the shower and wait for momma and Dreama to bring the hose and pump for my pool. After I drained the hot water tank I got out and Marissa helped me dress and I got on my hands and knees on the bed and labored that way for a couple contractions until I just slid myself off and was on the floor with my face buried in the mattress when a contraction hit. My water broke at 1:52 am when James called and said he was about 10 to 15 min away. After Marissa hung up with him I felt the need to push and 7 min later with 3 pushes he was born into Marissa's waiting hands and Starla was right there and witnessed the whole thing and was never once scared of what was happening because I prepared her for it. Momma and Dreama made it just like a min later and James a few min after that. It was awesome how it happened and I wish the others would of been able to make it but he was born just how God intended. Natural and at home. 7 lbs 14.8 oz 20 inches long born at 1:59 am
