I recently watched the move The Cove. Because of this we need to do something to stop dolphin capture and slaughter. For those of you who have not seen it, there is a cove in Taji where they herd dolphins with hammers under the water to scare the dolphins in the direction they want them to run. These dolphins are running for their lives because they are so scared of the sound. Then when they are captured in the cove. Different dolphin trainers come down and pick out which dolphins they want to use for training purposes. Those who are not picked are then herded around a cove where no one can see what can go on...until now. This documentary is done by passionate people who risk their lives to go in and show the world what is happening in the cove. The "fishermen" aka dolphin murderers spear the dolphins once and if the dolphin is not killed instaneously it suffers until it takes it's last breath. Some even try to flee while they bleed out into the water. Because of the industry is so big that "flipper" has brought on many are captured and kept in captivity and have to be put on maylox because they are so stressed out it is the only way to keep them from getting ulcers in their GI tract. Dolphin's hear way better than people and acoustic is their main way of communicating. So when you put dolphins in sea world with screaming fans can you only imagine how stressed out they are. Not only that but the murdering of innocent dolphins who can comprehend what is going on. Dolphin's are the only mammal known other than humans that can look in a mirror and realize what they are looking at. So while these dolphin's are getting murdered the ones around them know exactly what is going on. Sadly this is still happening. And they are feeding dolphin to people and calling it whale. Because dolphin's eat fish they have high levels of mercury in them which is toxic to humans and can cause deformities. So tell me what good is actually becoming of uprooting these innocent animals from their habitat just to die a horrific death. Twenty three thousand dolphins are killed each year. Does this disguist anyone else?
