I am 35 yrs old and a mom to an amazing 10 yr old girl. We had given up thinking it was possible, but.... wow. I haven't told anyone yet expect hubby - who looked at the test and goes "huh... almost looks like it says your preggers" and tosses it aside, lol. Had to convince him it was real. I don't know anyone else my age who is pregnant, or anyone who has children so far apart. Not sure if it has sunk in yet or not. Still waiting to find out how far along I am - somewhere between 7 - 12 weeks (hard to explain - very light period last september).
I have health issues, and in fact the day i found out i was pregnant I was scheduled to have major surgery. I took a lot of meds, so the next 7 months are going to be interesting being off of them.
My baby girl was diagnosed with Autism/PDD at the age of 2, but is now in mainstream school, with straight A's and many many friends. So proud of her. She is my best friend and can make me laugh like no one else. I can't wait for a little clone of her (yes, I'm hoping for another girl.) However, she does NOT want a baby brother/sister. She loves being the only one... so I'm going to have to do a lot of convincing before I tell her - I don't ever want her to feel like she's not #1 in my life.
