HI everyone! My name is Amy, I am a 33-year-old mom. I would have had 5 natural children and one stepchild, but I had 3 miscarriages prior to having my first son. This is something that I haven't talked about in a long time, but with this site I have been able to recognize the losses that I have had and been shown that it is ok to talk about it.

I have a 13 year old stepson who I have been raising since he was 7, a 4 year old son who was born at 31 weeks and was in the NICU for 6 long weeks, and a daughter that was born on June 17, 2008. She was full term, but she had other plans for us. On day 2 of life, her lung collapsed and she was transported to another hospital that had a NICU. She was in there for 9 days. I am very thankful that she is healthy now. I just worry, like every other normal mom out there.I am pretty easy to get along with.
