My name is Maddie and I have a son Ethan who was born September 17th, 2007 and a baby girl who was born October 25th, 2011. I am waiting to take my RN boards and I am completely stressed out about it! I don't mind random PT but please say something to me, I like talking to new people.

5 weeks: March 2nd Positive HPT!
9 weeks: March 30th: 1st ultrasound! Heart beat is at 180bpm and baby is due Oct 30th
12 weeks: April 18th: Current cravings: tea & water. Still having sickness especially if I don't eat every hour or 2.
13 weeks 5 days: Dr appointment heart rate at 160 bpm.
13 weeks 6 days: felt flutters for the first time. =]
15 weeks (mothers day): started to bleed but everything is ok.
16 weeks: New craving, anything fruity! Snow cones, popsicles, strawberries, etc but mainly drinks
16 weeks 1 day (may 16th): We are having a baby girl! The u/s tech whispered the news to Ethan and he told us he is having a baby sister =]
18 weeks (May 29th): felt her body from the outside for the first time today. I would touch the area and I could feel her move/change position to the other side =]
25 weeks (July 17th): Really goes crazy when hearing daddy's voice. Baby still feels really low.
26 weeks (July 22nd): I keep having nausea/cold sweats/dizzy spells. Also baby feels like she keeps getting something stuck in my hip/leg socket which also makes me hurt and sick. HR was 140 BPM, baby is still looking good and I am noticing stretch marks.
27 weeks and 3 days (August 3rd): Had my first baby dream last night. She was perfect! Tiny and beautiful, I seen very detail. Deep blue green eyes, blonde hair, she even slept through the night (hahaha!) It just seemed so real.
33 weeks (Sept. 11th): Really feeling her roll now. Still feeling great! No signs of contractions yet =]
33 weeks and 5 days (Sept. 16th): Heart rate was 130bpm and Dr scheduled my C-section for Oct 25th at 6:30 am =]
35 weeks (Sept 25th): Really starting to feel miserable. Baby likes to lay on a nerve, or get stuck in my hips. She still favors the right side. Nausea is starting to come back, and I have contractions every once in a while. Still no swelling unless I am on my feet all day.
35 weeks and 5 days (Sept. 30th): Last day of September! Woohoo! Baby has flipped up to breech and dr caleld her a little rascal because he couldn't find the heartbeat at first. HR was 160 bpm. Last progesterone injection was today. Let's see how long it takes for labor to kick in.
36 weeks and 5 days (Oct. 7th): Baby has flipped head down again and is low in the birth canal. Heartbeat went frantic because Dr was squeezing her head to feel her position.
37 weeks (Oct 9th): We have made it to 37 weeks! Baby will not be a preemie like her big brother =] This makes me very happy!!
37 weeks 5 days (Oct 14th): Pre-registered at the hospital for my c-section! Baby flipped back to breech, HR was 152 bpm.
39 weeks 2 days (Oct. 25th): Today is the big day! Baby has favored my right side this whole pregnancy and I haven't been miserable hardly at all! Truely a blessing compared to Ethan's pregnancy. I couldn't sleep last night, wanted to feel those last kicks. Kept thinking of the song It Will Rain by Bruno Mars. I am scared to death of a repeat c-section but I will be holding my baby very soon <3 I just pray it all goes well....
The c-section went amazing! I got there at 6 am and was immediately hooked up to monitors. The nurse had said that I was having contractions 5 mins apart but couldn't feel them. The nurse was jealous at that! They hooked up my IV's and at 7am I was walked back into the surgery room; it was a tiny room too. The Dr was a little late (the nurse kept telling me my husband was sooo nervous during this time) and had showed up right at 7:30am They gave me my spinal (which I was scared of) but it went great, just slight pressure. Then my catheter. Then my husband was allowed to come back with me. The Dr asked if I could feel him pinching me then they started cutting. I didn't know they were even cutting until I felt this medium pressure. All of a sudden I hear a drill noise and a baby cry. I kept asking my husband "is she out?!" finally he told me yes. They took her to the warming table and the nurse had said, "you're still cheesy!"
I asked if she was still a girl and the nurse said yes. I thought I would cry when she was born but I think they put ativan in the spinal because I had seen the bottle. My husband teared up though. Aria Elizabeth McCoy was born at 7:44 am 6lbs 14oz, 20 3/4 in long.
They then had my husband wheel her into the nursey as they sitched me up. They did all internal stitching, there is nothing on the outside except a tiny cut line. I had a bandage there that I took off the next day. They then wheeled me into recovery where my husband came in with me. After a few mintues they had brought Aria to me, telling me that she was hungry. I put her on my left breast and she immediately took to it for 10 minutes. The nurse had my husband burp her, then off to the other side. She had more difficulty but she had acted full. I remember thinking, "wow! my baby is so beautiful! She had an amazing complexion and alot of hair (my son was bald). They took her to give her a bath and she had trouble regulating her temp so she had to stay longer. They brought her back to me in my room and she had the prettiest bow on her head. I was just in amazement, I love my little girl so much. I don't know what I would do without her. My hospital experience was so amazing I wasn't sure if I wanted to come home!
This is how she looked after her first bath =]
