My husband Corey and i have been married since December 27th, 2006. After serving 4 years in the Marine Corps and waiting patiently for him to return from 2 deployments we finally moved back home fromCamp Pendleton California and our prayers were finally answered with 2 lines! November 25 was my first dr appointment we discovered we are expecting twins! My pregnancy was ridiculously easy, noreal morning sickness, cramps or cravings, however i did start contracting at 21 weeks and bedrest was no fun whatsoever! Our little boys decided to arrive a month early, making their birthday May 15th! Liam Patrick was first, born 5 pounds 18.5 inches long at 11:11 p.m. Connor Braeden followed at 11:12 weighing 4 pounds 11 ounces and 17 inches long. They are healthy and my c-section was completely painless and easy! I'm so happy they're finally here and although i love them as little babies, i can't wait til they start walking and talking!

October 10th - 4 days late so i took a test, big plus pops up! Went to see my parents at our friends house where my mom had 2 digital tests, says yes+. My weightis 104.

October 11th - Woke up and took the 2nd digital test to be sure and it says yes+. Corey wantedto beabsolutely sure this time sowe went to a place called Emergi-center and there test came up positive, now we can finally celebrate!

November 25th- First dr. appointment &found out were expecting not one but two!! Next appt is Dec 5th to see a high risk specialist to take a better look at the twins.

November 27th - While using my fetal doppler at home i picked up a babys heartbeat and counted 184 bpm! I'm not sure if i picked up both but atleast i got one!

December 5th - Saw the high risk specialist, healthy, strong and IDENTICAL! I always get a U/S with themso luckily i'll get to see their growth every month! But the hour long ultra sounds get a little tiring when my bellys being pushed for so long

January2nd- Sawmy high riskdoctor& there BOYS!!! *Coreywas VERY happy* While on Christmas break in NC to visit some family and Heather and Michael we chose one of the boys names, Liam Patrick and i've always wanted to give our son Coreys initials so we chose Connor Braeden for the 2nd little one  

February 16th - Woke up not feeling so great, got sick my first time and called my doctor who was on call at L&D and so i went there. I was put on monitors and they found out i was contracting every 5 minutes so 3 IV Fluid bags, 2 Terbutaline shots to stop the contractions, a really long U/Sand 9 hours later i go home with a prescription of Terbutaline. Oh and the fun bedrest started  

March 4th - I went in for my weekly check up, i weigh 139 now! I've been putting weight on so well and its all in the belly so far.Since Feb. 16th i've seen my doctor every week, saw my high risk doctor on Feb. 20th and i go to see him tomorrow, i'll be 25 weeks! My Cervix was last hard and strong and hopefully tomorrow it will be as well. I hope to get 3d pictures again too, last time suprisingly neither one of the boys wanted to show their face!

March 6th - Saw my high risk doctor, Liam is 1 pound 8 ounces and Connor is 1 pound 11 ounces! They are both doing so well and he said i have the prettiest cervix he's seen all day   So thats SO good to hear. I had a Fibro Nectin test done again and i'm still waiting on results. Connor had a 3d scan but Liam wanted to box the doppler so his hands wouldn't leave his face but i got a 2d profile on him, i wish he would of behaved though!

March 16th/17th - Didn't feel the boys move that often and i sort of had a gut feeling something was wrong so i called my doctor to see who was on call, luckily my Dr. was so she called and told me to go to L&D where she was. I was monitored for about 4-5 hours and had an IV *ugh* It wasn't that i was really dehydrated, but the past 2 days all the moving had worn me out a little, i hadn't followed my bedrest rules so thats what happens when your only 26 weeks pregnant with a uterus the size of a full term singleton pregnancy... the boys look great and healthy, Connor is just sitting on Liam and since Connor is up high in my ribs i can see him move and Liam is way below my belly so i can't see anything nor feel it for that matter but he's really active with the monitors so i'm really happy to say everything is fine! Tomorrow i go in for my glucose test *boooooo!* Happy Saint Patricks Day!

March 18th - Went to my pre-natal dr.for my Glucose test, it wasn't bad at all. Getting blood taken always sucks but it wasn't that bad. I weigh 145! My dr said that i can still add more cause i'm doing great, adding good weight. She says i can have them at 32 weeks but were gonna try to keep them in longer and if needed, schedule a C-Section cause so far Connor does not want to get out of the breach position! Next friday i go to my high risk dr and then my baby shower!

March 27th - I went to see my high risk dr today! Things went better than i expected, i was so happy with the results of the boys! Liam is now 2 lbs 7 ounces and Connor is 2 lbs 9 ounces! They are both head down *cheek to cheek with eachother* My dr thinks i'll make it far which is amazing, most women go into preterm labor and it sounds like i will last til the end of May! The longer the better for the boys  Tomorrow is my baby shower and i couldn't be more excited.. finally i get to see friends and family members from far away!

April 2nd - Went to see my pre-natal dr this morning and i weighed in at 147, which is okay to lose and gain here and there,thankfullyi'm still in a good weight zone. Liams heartbeat wasin the 120'sand Connors was in the 130's and my belly measures 34 weeks  There still getting big and doing well! I see her next friday when i'm 30 weeks!And 9 days til my birthday! haha


April 8th - Went to my pre-natal dr again, she started me on steroid shots to help the boys lungs and all develop faster. I asked her when she thinks I will go in labor and all and she strongly thinks 34 weeks, hopefully no sooner so anytime after 32 weeks i need to really take it easy so i can keep them baking longer. Everything is going well, the boys have the hiccupsquite a bitand it fun foreveryone to feel them and on the monitors you can hear it so loudly, its so cute!Next friday i see my high risk dr and get my ultra sound, yay!


April 17th - Went to my high risk dr. Everything looks great, Liam and 3 lbs 10 ounces and Connor is 3 lbs 12 ounces. I started the non stress test which is a quick u/s and then 30 minute monitoring to check the boys activity level and my contractions so for the next 5 weeks i'll be doing that if i even last the next 5 weeks.


April 22nd - Went to see my Pre-natal dr today, i weigh 150 so i havn't been gaining anymore weight really which is fine cause i'm right where i am suppose to be. Now that Connor is Breach againwe scheduled a c-section unless he decides to go head down so the time were gonna plan is about 36-37 weeks if my high risk doctor agrees with that time frame. Depending on her schedule we'll have a set date so probably next Weds. when i see her we'll hopefully have a day if i make it that far, if my water breaks before then she'll do a c-section immediately so we'll see how that goes!


April 24th - Had the Non-stress test #2 this morning. They saw that both boys are practicing breathing  and i also read that them having hiccups comes from practicing and each boy has had them everyday for about the past 2 weeks so they must have some strong lungs already (yay)  I was so tired from being up all night cause i had a horrible stomach achethat i completely forgot to ask what they think of Dr. Shuman scheduling a c-section but i'm not really worried about it. Connor is still breech and theres a 9 out of 10 chance he won't flip back over so either way i'll either go into labor within the next4 to5 weeks or i'll havemyc-sectionin5 weeks max, how exciting!


May 6th - I havn't really updated anything lately cause nothing much has happend except the monitoring and such. I weighed in 154 and my doctor scheduled the c section for May 29th at 2 p.m., i'm super nervous about the spinal block but i'm really trying to ignore that part and just be excited to hold our baby boys finally. The boys will be weighed on Friday at my high risk appointment, i'm really hoping for about 5 lbs.


May 8th - Saw Dr. Christmas,Liamweighed in at4 lbs 11 ounces and Connor weighed in at 4 lbs 12 ounces. I get to come off the procardia so i'm allowed to have contractions now and we'll see if they worsen and make any changes or send me into labor, if not than 21 days till there here anyways!


May 15th - Saw Dr. Shuman on Weds and did this strep test which i havn't heard anything about yet so i think the test came out normal. I went to see Dr. Christmas, my high risk doctor, today for the monitoring again... babies are just fine and i'm contracting pretty well every 5 minutes so they said theres a good chance i'll go into labor soon...we'll see though.

HAD THE BOYS THAT NIGHT VIA C-SECTION; IT WENT VERY EASY AND EVEN2 1/2 MONTHS LATER I'VE STILLHAD NO PAIN WHATSOEVER!

how did u pick the name? I wanted one of them to have Coreys initials and Corey loved the name Liam and i loved Liam Patrick, so Liam Patrick and Connor Braeden it is, we had them picked out since christmas and stuck with them!
how did u know when it was time to go to hospital? I went to my high risk dr for my check up and was contracting every 5 minutes so i went to L&D and contractions just worsened
What was your pain management? Fine, just really uncomfortable and crampish but Connor was breech so it didn't matter if i was dialating, after 5 hours of 3 min apart contractions they decided to do the c section that night
did u go home or somewhere else when u left the hosp.? CVS to get a bottle scrubby, the boys were in the NICU for feeding cause they were lazy eaters
anyone spend the night with u first night home? Just the usual in the house

I see you have twin boys as well! They are adorable   This is probably a stupid question to you, but are they identical, or do they just look alot alike?
