I had Elisabeth Quinn-Maxine on July 2nd at 5:40 pm. She weighed 5lbs 8oz and was 19 in long! She came to us about 3 1/2 weeks early. They said I had a bladder infection and that is what could have triggered the early labor. I could not ask for a more easier labor and dilervery then I had. I was admited into L&D on June 30th at 8:30 pmbecause I handt felt her move all day. They kept me over night. I started getting contractions at 4:00 am on the 1st. Before the released me to go home they checked me for dialation and I was already at 3 cm but they sent me home anyways. About 3 hours later my contractions got closer and stronger! Mom and I went back to L&D and they checked me again. I was between 4 & 5. They admited me and gave me the drug to take the ease off the pain.. About an hour later the drug wore off and I was hurting! They took tooo long to get me the Epi! ok really it was probably only 30 mins or so but seemed like forever.. I could hardly breath throgh the contractions I was having.. So FINALY I got the eip at 5 cmsand everything in the world was right!! lol About an hour later my water broke by its self. It was like a water balloon popping and kinda sounded like it too.. The nurse came in and checked me and she said she couldnt even feel my cervix but could feel the head and hair! After about 3 nurces checked and said about the same thing, my OB gave the ok for me to start pushing.. They turned my epi off and after 3 contractions with 4 pushes each, little miss Ellie was born. It was amazing and so ease!! I hope for that next time around too!!
