Milestones and Important Events:
January 1st 2009- Nicholas finally gets to go home. They gave him his HepB shot and sent us on our way! He is weighing in at 6lbs 14oz today! He has slight Jaundice with a level of 15 and has to be rechecked tomorrow.
January 2nd- After rechecking Nicholas' Jaundice levels they are at a 23 and he will be staying the night at the hospital under the Bili-lights to get rid of it. Mommy and Daddy get to stay with him. He also lost a bit more weight and is now down to 6lbs 9oz.
January 4th- After 2 days in the hospital for Jaundice Nicholas gets to go home and be rechecked tomorrow!
January 5th- Jaundice is nearly all gone and he is back up to 6lbs 14oz!
January 13th- Half of Nicholas' umbilical cord stump fell off!
January 14th- Nicholas is 2 weeks old! He had his 2 week check up and he is doing perfect! He is now 7lbs 10oz 21in!
January 21st- Nicholas rolled over for the first time today from belly to back! He is only 3 weeks old! No one believed us, so we got it on video!
January 22nd- Nicholas is now has his own Pediatrician! He is weighing in at 8lbs 7oz!
January 24th- We went on our first family Vacation to San Diego! Nicholas got to meet his Aunt Amanda and Grandma Rochelle!
January 27th- Saw the Ocean for the first time!
January 29th- First time on the beach! Nicholas slept through most of it!
February 10th- Got weighed at Mommy's 6wk check-up and is now 10lbs 6oz!
February 12th- Smiled a REAL smile for the first time in response toMommy being goofy!
February 24th- He's now wearing a size 1 diaper!
February 26th- Had to go to the doctor, found out Nicholas has a Viral Cold, prescribed saline drops for his nose and lots of cuddles! Now weighs 11lbs 10oz and is 22in long!
February 28th- Went to the zoo for the first time, but slept the entire time!
March 9th- First bath in the "big boy tub" with Mommy
March 15th- First held a rattle
March 19th- First trip to the park!
March 21st- First trip to the snow
March 24th- Today was Nicholas' first set of shots. He did well! He is now 12lbs 12oz and 24 1/4in long and his head is measuring at 15.5in. Doctor found a small heart murmur and is sending him to a Pediatric Cardiologist to get it checked out.
March 30th- Went to the cardiologist today and everything checked out fine! His heart murmur is an innocent one and shouldn't cause any problems. He is also weighing in at 13lbs 2oz today!
April 2nd- Nicholas visted the Easter Bunny and got his picture taken with him!
April 8th- First Giggle! It is so adorable!
April 13th- Now in a size 2 diaper!
April 15th- Nicholas had his first solids! Greenbeans were the solids of choice and he LOVED them!
May 7th- As of today Nicholas has tried different types of foods...green beans, peas, bananas, applesauce, sweet potatoes, squash, carrots and pears. He loves everything he has tried!
May 26th- Nicholas had his check-up. He is 15lbs 8oz (25th Percentile) 25.5in (29th Percentile) and his head is 16.75in (26th Percentile) He also rolled over for the first time from his back to his belly! Such a big boy!
June 2nd- My baby boy is now wearing a size 3 diaper!
June 15th- Mr. Smarty Pants now knows how to roll around to get where he wants to go. He also pushes himself up and scoots backward!
June 16th- Nicholas used a sippy cup today for the first time! He did great!
June 21st- For Father's Day we went to the Old Sacramento Railroad Museum and Nicholas rode a train for the first time! He loved it!
June 26th- While playing with his Gpa on the floor Nicholas sat up un-assisted for the first time and kept his balance! Now he loves to sit and play on the floor without toppling over!
July 18th- Nicholas visited his first BIG Zoo in Oakland. He thought the Monkies, Bears, and Tiger were the greatest!
July 25th- We took Nicholas to the beach and he swam in the ocean for the first time! He cried when we left because he was having so much fun watching the waves and getting all wet!
August 6th- 6 Month check-up and shots went great!Only cried for a split second and then was a okay once back in Mommy's arms! Nicholas now weighs 19lbs 2oz and is 27.5in long!Now in the 50th percentile!
August 8th- Nicholas now does the "Army" Crawl! It's so cute!
August 22nd- Went from a crawling position to a sitting positionall on his own!
September 4th- Very first tooth finally popped up! Lower Left Centeral Incisor!
September 8th-Went in for a cough, fever of 101.9 and runny nose. Seems to have a bit of a virus, however, it is more likely it's from teething because we can see tooth #2 on it's way!
September 9th- Pulled to a standing position all on his own!
September 10th- Tooth number 2 came in! Lower RightCenteral Incisor!
September 13th-9 Month clothes now fit my little man! He can still wear some 6-9 Month clothes still too!
September 16th- Nicholas stood all on his own unassisted for about 4-5 seconds!
September 21st- He finally started crawling on his hands and knees instead of "Army" crawling!
September 31st- 9 Months old today, 21lbs 2oz 28.5in long! Getting to be such a big boy!
October 3rd- Nicholas waved Bye-bye and clearly said "Byebye" today!
October 31st- Today is not only Halloween, but my little man is 10 months old! He is 22lbs 1 oz and still 28.5in long! I can't believe it! He also now has 4 teeth!
November 3rd- We are now cloth diapering Nicholas and love it!
November 9th- Nicholas is standing all on his own unassisted for 10 seconds or more at a time!


When I was pregnant I found a board with a bunch of wonderful ladies on it. We call ourselves the JMM (January Mommy Mafia) We have become very close, and are very outgoing individuals.These ladies are the best, and I love each and every one of them! We have now moved our group and we are more private and loving it! But thank you baby gaga for giving me these ladies!
