My husband and I have been together for six years and have been married for two. We were expecting our first baby, a girl, July 15, 2008, but she arrive 4.5 weeks early on June 13, 2008. I had a pretty typical/no complications pregnancy. My water broke the night before she was born, and when I arrived at the hospital I was 1 cm dilated and 80% effaced. 7 hours later she was born! Luckily, my labor and delivery were pretty much text book with no problems. She was 5 lbs 3 oz and 18 inches long. We were very fortunate that Cecilia did not need to spend a minute in the NICU; she stayed with me in my room the whole time and was even discharged a few hours before me just two days after she as born! I feel so fortunate and blessed to have carried and delivered a healthy baby girl!
