So..

I've been keeping the same old same old "about me" forever! So I've decided to jazz it up a bit *jazz hands*!

So..here's what you really need to know about me:

Mandi..The Myth..The Legend




-I'm 24 years young.
-I have a degree in Social Work
-After an abusive relationship I took a year off to get centered again before resuming that career choice
-I got stuck in a dead end job as a supervisor and head cook. I met my husband. I got pregnant.
-I fully intend on going back to Social Work after the little one gets here
-I have 3 cats, Xander (yes..named after the Buffy Character..I'm a nerd), Xavier and Carbon
-I love cooking..it's my passtime AND the job that I've done for the past 2 years
-My husband and I both have siblings named Sam. His is a brother. Mine is a sister..who spells it Samm
-I am phobic of throwing up. It didn't make morning sickness very fun
-I look innocent enough..but I love heavy metal music
-I CRAVE banana bread
-I am a huge fan of all things Law and Order. This includes the controversial "Law and Order: CI", which most people wouldn't watch if they were forced to with threats of bodily harm.
-Along that same vein, when I was pregnant I spent a good portion of my time downloading and watching said Law and Order. I was a week late..what do you expect?
-My secret obsession (besides L&O) is "The Hills".
-I am anxiety ridden about EVERYTHING. My personality is a worry-wart. It doesn't make being a parent very easy.
-I love the fall. I love the way it looks outside, the crispness of the air, the fact that I'm that much closer to Christmas and the first snow-fall of the year 
-I Love Love Love Farmer's markets. It's especially fun around Christmas.
-I could go on all day...I'm quirky

Baby Seth




-Was due September 3rd, showed up (by induction) on September 11th
-Was 8lbs 2 oz and was 21 inches long at birth
-Is named Seth William. Seth because it sounds uber cool with our last name (Cole) and William after my beloved grandfather..who is the best and most powerful influence on my life..except for my mama.
-Because I'm a first time mom and my husband works all the damn time, I'm taking a couple of weeks to live with my mom and have her help me be everything I need to be for this peanut.
-Had latching problems in the hospital. Because of that he had jaundice and we had to be kept in the hospital for an extra night so he could go tanning and try and get better. The next day after we were released his levels were up a bit, and the day after that his levels were down dramatically. Thank Goodness!
-Is being formula fed with some breast milk supplements. He really doesn't like latching to boobie 
-Is the light and joy of my life. His smile and his eyes are the most beautiful thing in hte world. I get scared alot because I don't want anything to happen to him..I'm sure all you other moms understand.
