Hi I'm Cyndi. My husband and I have been married for8 years. We have 4 children together and custody of his oldest child. So for those of you keeping track, 5 kids total! I still can't say that without almost choking.
Leah is the oldest. She's 11, but her smart mouth is 16 at least. She's a very pretty little girl/young lady. She's right in the middle so I'm not sure what to call her.
Trinity is8 she's beautiful with big expressive gray eyes that reveal every emotion and thought that runs through her head. She's my good kid.
Raeghan is 5. She is very devious at times. She is my smart one and hates school because she sees no reason to go because "she knows everything the teacher has to teach them." Her words, not mine. So she fakes sick a lot!
Then there's 4 year old Christopher, our only boy. (need I say more?) He's so cute and funny and way too spoiled!
Bayleighis one. She's our little miracle and the strongest baby I know. Even though she was a total surprise, she completes our family. She was a 38 weeker but she stopped developing at 34 weeks. Her lungs didn't have surfactant in them and she didn'tstart making her own. Surfactant is what keeps the lungs from sticking together every time we exhale. So she blew a pneumothorax. Basically that means thather lung just popped a whole. It filled her chest cavity with air. The helicopter team from St. Louis Children's Hospital came and inserted a chest tube into the right side of her chest to alleviate the pressure from all of the air. Then they flew her to the hospital and I was discharged just hours after my baby's birth so that I could be with her. We spent time in the NICU, not a fun place at all. All told she had 4 chest tubes- she stopped breathing once, that was hell to watch- she blew a pneumo with a chest tube inplace, making me realize that I might not come home with my baby at all. It was the only time that I let that thought enter my head. Then she pulled her own chest tube out through 2 sutures and a bunch of tape. She hasn't had one since though. She's amazing and healthy now and I couldn't ask for more.
Currently I am in college for Respiratory Therapy, and Chris is also in college to become and RN. In May we can start our lives as grown ups with real grown up jobs. I can't wait!
Ok WOW there's my life in a nutshell, ok maybe a mini novel. If you have any quetions feel free to ask them.
