I have a little boy named Ivan Christopher. He was born on August 24, 2008. he is such a cutie!!!! And i have another one on the way!!

When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car.
Friendship is like peeing on yourself: everyone can see it, but only you get the warm feeling that it brings.
You laugh because I'm different........... I laugh cause I just farted!
Flying is learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss.
A computer once beat me at chess, but it was no match for me at kick boxing.

Unless i specifically ask you for advice do NOT tell me how to raise my children! They are still alive and happy. I must be doing something right!

Always remembering my angels.

I believe in all of the following:
- trusting my instincts. worked for thousands of generations before me.
- CIO when you and your baby are ready.
- spanking. i was spanked and i am not psychologically harmed.
- Pacifiers till whenever. I will wean my son when i know the time is right.
- Giving sweets. one maybe a week won't hurt anything.
- Disposable diapers. Cloth ones aren't any cheaper when you figurethe cost of washing.
- Circumcision.
- Formula feeding. BF simply did not work for us.
- Vaccinating on time. period.
- Solid food feeding at 6 months.






My Labor Story
So my c-section was scheduled for the 26th. haha right.
On Sunday the 24th i kept having a lot of contractions. Nothing huge and they weren't regular. then I noticed that i had lost a it of my mucus plug and there was a little bit of blood. So i called my doc and he said it was just because the baby was sitting so low and not to worry too much.
My husbands mother was in town so we decided to go to dinner at Ihop. And me being as paranoid as ever i made sure we had everything for the hospital just in case. Well my just in case feeling was right. We got to Ihop and sat down. We ordered our drinks and i had a contraction that nearly brought me to tears! So then there we were.....on our way to the hospital.
We get to the hospital at around 9and i am now contracting at2 minutes apart. My nurse checks my cervix and I am already 4cm dialated. I am having a baby. 45 minutes later the surgical team finally arrives. luckily. They got me in to the OR just in time. As they were putting in my spinal i had the urge to push. they made sure i was good and numb and they start cleaning the site that they will cut. they put up my shield and bring in my husband. 5 minutes later i see a little head as the nurse shows me my Lil boy.

Ivan Christopher Shrum had finally arrived August 24that 11:21pm weighing in at 8 lbs 10 oz measuring 19 1/4 inches. And had a full head of hair.




I love music. I'm mostly a metal fan. Favorite band being Disturbed. I also love Evanescence, Metallica, Slipknot, Hemlock (I will miss the farmington shows.), Godsmack, SOAD, and Korn.I could name more but there are too many.
