Angelle Rae Pullin was born 05/24/08 at 1:15pm. 7 lbs. 1.4 oz. and 19 1/2 inches long. A head of curly blonde hair and blue eyes! Hubbs says she looks like a mini-Leah We left Tri-State Raceway in Earlville at 3:00am that morning for Waterloo as my contractions were 4-6 minutes apart and we had an hour drive. My water hadn't broken yet, just contractions. We made it in 50 minutes! Hubbs edged up the accelerator every time I had a contraction LOL The nurses put us in Triage until labor could be established. I was dilated to 3cm and progressed to 4cm in an hour. They admitted us at 8:00am. We did some hall walking to let gravity help us out. My dr got there, and after checking me, they broke my water... HOLY COW! Yeah, contractions were 100 times more painful then, but it helped things progress much faster! I had some statol for the pain, but it just made me drowsy and out of it. Once I was dilated to 6, it was time for the epidural. What a Godsend! I could feel the pressure of the contractions, but not the pain. I could focus on what I was supposed to do, and before I knew it, I was 100% and ready to push 1 hour 50 minutes of pushing, and Angelle was born! It was amazing, and Russ was awesome. He was so supportive and just incredible at keeping me calm and focused on what I was doing. Wow. I'm working on getting some pictures uploaded to photobucket so I can share. We were in the hospital until Monday. Seems like my little girl brought in the storms. We were in lock-down in the nursery 2 times Sunday night as the tornadoes ripped apart my hometown, Parkersburg. It was a crazy weekend, that's for sure. My family was blessed while so many people we know were devastated. I still can't get over the shock of it, and the news broadcasts don't even come close to showing the true picture of how bad it all really is.
