My name is Brandie & I'm 21 years young. My boyfriend and I have been together for a little over 4 years & we're expecting our first child together. Our baby girl, Laela, is due in October...October 1st to be exact via c-section since she is in a frank breech position. My due date was originally October 10th. Our baby wasn't planned but we have truly been blessed to be able to create a new life & to share this special time in our lives together. Everything has finally come together for us and I couldn't be happier. So far this has been the greatest and easiest experience & I enjoy being pregnant- except for the whole weight gain thing lol- & I love feeling her kick but I can't wait to finally meet her & hold her in my arms.
About Your Pregnancy
Is this your first pregnancy?: No...2nd. I had a miscarriage last July.
When did you find out you were pregnant?: February 1, 2008.
Was it planned?: Nooo. An unplanned blessing =]
What was your first reaction?: What am I going to do? Is this for real?
Who was with you when you found out?: Nobody.
Who was the first person you told?: I called my best friend Nikki & told her.
How did your parents react?: My mom was ok...she anticipated me gettting preg again.
How far along are you?: 27 weeks (July 7)
What was your first symptom?: None of my clothes were fitting and I didn't feel right.
What is your due date?: October 7, 2008.
Do you know the sex of the baby?: Yesss.
If so, what is it?: A girl!
Have you picked out names?: Yup.
If so, what are they?: Laeyla Ann
How much weight have you gained?: More than I wanted to at this point...
Do you have stretch marks?: On my butt and breasts...none on my belly yet.
Have you felt the baby move?: Oh yea...she's an active little lady.
Have you heard the heartbeat?: yes
About the birth
Will you keep the baby?: Um...YES!
Home or hospital birth?: Hospital.
Natural or medicated birth?: I'm going in wanting no meds to see how it goes and if it's too much i'll change my mind.
Who will be in the delivery room with you?: My boyfriend...the daddy.
Will you breastfeed?: Yes.
Do you think you'll need a c-section?: I hope not.
Will you cry when you hold the baby for the first time?: Most likely...i'm emotional when it comes to stuff like that.
What's the first thing you might say to him/her?: Hi my beautiful baby girl.
Would you let someone videotape the birth?: I wanted to have it taped but not sure yet.
Are you excited about the birth, or scared?: I'm excited to see her and finally meet her but at the same time I'm scared since this is my first baby.
