My beautiful girl is growing up so fast- 6 months old on May 28th!- and we're amazed every day but what a wonderful light she is in our lives, and we wake up smiling every morning just knowing she's with us.

We are still breastfeeding, co-sleeping, and baby-wearing and proud of it!

My beautiful girl was born Nov. 28, 2008. She is my world, a cheerful, snuggly kid who loves to smile and never stops moving. She was born 2 days past her due date, weighed 7 lbs 6 oz and was 21 inches long! At 2 months she was 12 lbs and 25 inches long, she's so long she's almost outgrown her baby carseat!

I had a homebirth at my In-Laws house with the help of my fabulous midwife. My husband, my mom, my sister, and my mother in law were all there to help and provide encouragement, I couldn't've done it without them. Her birth was a magical and incredible time, and after 10 hours of labour (including 1 hr and 45 min of minutes of pushing) my baby girl made her entrance, facing sideways with her held tilted the wrong direction.

I married my fabulous husband in August 2007. We live in Quebec, close to Ottawa, in the house we just bought together. Nigella has 2 fur-siblings, our dog Shiro (1 year) and our 7-yr old cat Gibson.
