Nyomi's Arrival!

Friday night I checked my BP & it was 148/102so I called the doctor & he sent me to the hospital. When I got there it was still very high. My platelets were too low & there was protein in my urine so they decided I had pre-eclampsia. The dr. said I still wasn't dilated & waiting for an induction to take (which only had a 50% chance oftaking anyway, since my cervix was still completely closed) may take too long & my stats would get worse so they took her c-section. I got there at about 5:30 & by 8:30/9 had the surgery. She was officially born at 9:27pm on 6/13/08. The next day they left me on strict bed rest with IV magnesium sulfate to prevent seizures (from the pre-eclampsia). Sunday morning I was finally allowed out of bed & to eat (and I was STARVING).

Nyomi is perfect. She passed all her tests & we get to go to her first dr. visit Monday, 6/23. She has tons of hair & looks likemy husband's clone.
