Hey there. I'm Brandi, I'm 29. My husband and I are expecting are first child in Mid-October (depending on whose calendar you are looking at) We are having a baby boy and have two names picked out but I think we should wait until we meet the little booger.

I'm looking to make a couple of online friends that are due around the same time as me and aren't having that "perfect" pregnancy.

20 week UPDATE:
My Placenta Previa is gone!!! YAYYYYYYYYYY this means that I'm eligible for a vaginal delivery and I'm cleared to have sex again!!!

Baby Boy is 10 inches and 11 ounces 145 beats a minute. Doc says he's on the big side and everything looks wonderful.

My ultrasound was about 30 minutes today, got some amazing shots including a verifible penis. Janet also treated me to some 4D pics, as you can see from my avatar. He moved around a lot and kicked the US wand, appparently he doesn't like having his picture taken, guess he's not a model like his mom. I cried pretty much the entire time, but hearing the heartbeat gets me the most. Unfounately my husband was stuck in traffic and didn't make in time, so of course that didn't help with the tears.

I've been put on bedrest due to elevated blood pressure because of anxitey and stress at work. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks things will get better and I'll be released.

I was diagnosised with Placenta Previa at an emergency doctor's visit because of bleeding. So I now have a few restrictions, such as limited work, as well as no sex (which is unfortunate because my libido didn't go away with pregnancy) What these means for me is if the Previa doesn't eventually move into its correct place I will have to have a C-Section. This is being monitored with ultrasound at every visit so for now we keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best.

Once I came out of the first trimester things got a lot better for me, I think the worst now is headaches and sleepiness. I'm starting to enjoy my growing belly instead of just feeling fat (I've always been really skinny.) And when I wake up in the morning I can feel my son curled in a tight ball. I've felt a couple of pokes and pushes and my husband has felt him flutter around but no gymnastics as of yet.

Everyone likes to ask if I'm scared or nervous and my simple response is No, I have an extremely high pain tolerance and plan to have an epidural (yup I'll admit it!) The only thing I truly dread about my pregnancy is that I live in Dallas and the summers get really hot here. But I own a bikini and I'll proudly sport an eight month pregnant belly around the pool if it'll bring relief from the heat.

So, that's a little of my story. If you can't tell I'm a pretty candid person and don't hide much. I'll try my best to keep this as updated as possible. Until then HAPPY GROWING!
