My name is Cara, I am 22 years old and the mother of 2 beautiful little girls.
My oldest daughter (Mackenzie Lynn), was born at 41 weeks, August 27th 2005 @ 3:34 pm. She weighed 8lbs 8oz, and was 21 inches long. I am no longer with Mackenzie's father. Long, confusing story, ending with his BAD temper.

I live with my boyfriend Justin. We got together April 5th 2007.
Two days after Justin and I started dating, his son was born. His name is Marcus Charles and he weighed 6lbs 10oz. I love him as if he was my own flesh and blood.

My baby girl (Payton Kathleen), was born at 35 weeks 6 days, September 21st 2008 @ 8:26 am. She weighed 6lbs 9oz, and was 19 inches long. She is my little champ. She was in the NICU for 6 days. Was only on oxygen and a feeding tube for 1 day. And on an IV and the bili-lights for 6 days. The IV she was on was fluids and anti-biotics. The anti-biotics were to
prevent her from getting an infection. My water broke 4 days before she was born, but the doctors made me keep in her as long as possible. After 4 long days of bedrest, I went into labour on my own. After 6 days of the NICU, Payton was still jaundice. They sent us home with a bili-pad, and she had to go back everyday for a week to check her bili levels. At almost 2 months, the jaundice was FINALLY completely gone.

Justin and I plan to TTC January of 2011.
Payton's updates . . .
1 month check up - Payton is still jaundice, and weighs 8lbs 10.5 oz , and is 21.5 inches long.
Check up with pedi - Payton will be 2 months in two more days. She weighs 11lbs 9oz. The pedi is referring her to an infant developmentalist, physio/occupational therapy, and speech pathology. She also had to get blood work done to check for diabetes, thyroid problems, and almost every other blood test you could think of
2 month check up - Payton weighs 12 lbs 2oz, and is 23 inches long. Got her first set of shots, and hardly shed a tear... What a strong baby i have
3.5 months physio - Payton has officially started her physical therapy. She is still at the newborn level for tummy time and grasping objects .. but at the 4/5 month level for sitting and standing. She now has to do certain excercises every day and goes back in a month for another appointment.
4 months with pedi (January 22) - Payton is 15lbs and 25.5inches long. She is technically only 3 months old, but is in the upper percentile for a 4 month old! So WHOO HOO!!! THe pedi told me to give her baby food and cereal because she doesn't drink enough calories in a day with her formula. She will only take 28oz at the most in a day. She is smiling, giggling, and trying to sit on her own now. She is also getting so much better with tummy time. She goes for her 4 month shots on the 27th of January. She will be weighed again then. I'm sure she won't gain a whole lot in the next 5 days!
6 month check up - Baby Payton is a whopping 17lbs 14oz. What a CHUNK!! She is super healthy. Got her shots today, and took it like a champ!
6 months 8 days - What a stressful night! Payton was oh so fussy, and hardly slept .. and woke up with 2 TEETH!! Hooray for my baby girl!!
7.5 month checkup - Payton now weighs 20lbs 2oz, and is 29inches long. She is continuing to go to physio once a month. She is still a bit behind on her gross motor skills, but ahead on all her fine motor skills.
8 month checkup - Payton is still going through crazy growth spurts. She is now 20lbs 10oz. She is teething again, and can now army crawl forward for VERY short distances. She eats constantly. Her favourites right now are pancakes, french toast, rice, and any kind of pasta
9.5 month checkup - My little chunk is now 21lbs 7.5oz, and 29 3/4 inches long.
10 months - Payton now has 4 teeth and has 2 more coming in!!
12 months - 22lbs 9oz .. 31 inches long .. Doc says she is gonna be tall and skinny when she gets older .. Lucky girl!! She also has 6 teeth now
