hi everyone! my name is Franchesca. i'm 24, happily married, and i'm a mom to 2 of the most handsome little boys! Jaden Malik Edwards made his appearance into the world on July 29, 2008 at 9:45pm. he was 7lbs even and 20 inches long! and my newest addition is Makhi Jordan Edwards making his grandentrance into the world on September 16, 2009 at 12:52 pm! he was 6 lbs and 1 oz, 18 inches long!THEY AREMY EVERYTHING!!! i've never been so in love... good luck to all you ladies that still have your little angels on the way!!!



UPDATE!!! so... after being in a bit of denial with my period being5 weeks late i got tested and i have another little one on the way! i gotta be honest, it was totally unexpected and unplanned and even more so something both me and my husband weren't wanting so soon, but a blessing is a blessing so i'll just stay positive  . i get my first ultrasound on March 3rd so i can see my little peanut  . as soon as i find out the gender i'll be sure to let you all know! but until then, it's gonna be another buddah belly summer for me with my due date being Sept. 20, 2009. *cries about the heat* ah well, pregnancy doesn't last forever... even though it feels like it does, lol.


UPDATE!!! so, i went in for my first ultrasound on March 3, 2009 and they changed my due date to Sept. 16, 2009! not a huge difference, but the sooner the better!  . the baby had a heart rate of 162 and everything looks good  .



UPDATE!!! on Monday May 11, 2009 we found out we're having another boy! so it's official, Jaden is going to have a little brother to beat up, lol. he already hit 1 lbs. in wieght and is developing wonderfully! my husband picked the name Makhi Jordan for our newest little guy  



UPDATE!!! so, today (Monday, July 13, 2009) i go in for my regular routine doctors appt. (i'm about 31 weeks now) only to find out that there was a bit of an issue. apparently my little guy wants to get his "welcome to the world" party started early. i'm dialated 1.5 cm and was having contractions that were 2-4 minutes apart. i had no idea that anything was wrong, i just figured it was the regular braxton hicks, just a tad bit more painful than normal, but nothing serious, ya know? so, i was sent to the L&D Triage dept. at the hospital to be monitored for pre-term labor. i got 2 shots of Tribulene (s/p?) and unfortunately 2 IV's... yeah... 2 of them. my first one got messed up and all the fluids that were suppose to go into my vien ended up going into my damn arm tissue so i had a literal water-logged arm... but, at the end of it all they pretty much gotthe contractions under control and sent me home after about 5 hours of being at the hospital. so... diagnosis you ask? they called it Pre-term Contractions. if the dialation progressed along with the contractions then it would've been a bad thing, a.k.a. Pre-term Labor. but, my cervix didn't make any changes after all that time on the monitors, just steady contractions. i was pretty much told to "take it easy" but it's fairly difficult to just sit around on my ass when i have an 11 month old running all over the place and a husband that is about to be deployed in 2 weeks... so yeah... not much relaxation time. but, at least Makhi is still in the oven and hopefully will stay there until he's done cooking!   other than that, i feel alright. just regular pregnancy woe's of feeling like a clumsy cow with the memory of a goldfish and the vision of a bat, lol.


UPDATE!!! well! i went to my regular doctors appt. on monday (August 17, 2009)for the classic crotch inspection and what-not. the doctor says i'm still measuring small, but Makhi has definitely grown a good bit. heart beat was good and so the check up was going smoothly. then... the cooter violation news... i'm 3cm dilated and they expect my little boy to arrive within the next 2 weeks! she said (and i quote),"wow! your dilated 3cm already! at this rate i don't think you'll make it before 38 weeks."   i think my eyes really did get that big, lol. so yeah... i'm excited, nervous, happy, worried, scared, and anxious. since the hubs is in Iraq now i gotta do this alone. well, not really alone per-say... but without his support  . but i'm feelin alright for now. the pain is increasing more and more with the passing days so i'm doing my best to stay relaxed. they're going to do an ultrasound next week to make sure he's not breeched and everything is looking ok for his likely early arrival. i'll keep you all informed on what happens!!! wish me luck!
