I am a self-employed celebrity columnist for a 3 year old world wide daily magazine which focuses on entertainment and nightlife. It's fun being your own boss and working with celebrities at various red carpet events and shows. This will be my first child, and I am very excited. I am hoping for a boy, but will be happy with God blesses me with. I have already put the baby to work as a columnist through my magazine. Its a celebrity baby column, sort of like the movie, "Look Who's Talking". Anyway, we are not due until January so there is a long ways and a lot to learn. I just moved to NY at the top of the year from Chicago, but before that Louisiana. I travel a lot because of my business. Everyone wants us to move to where they are, which is between New Orleans, Chicago, back to Seattle where my parents and immediately family reside, or staying in New York. Decisions! Decision!
My water broke at 25 weeks while I was vacationing, visiting my family, so I have been in the hospital since September 24th.With each passing day its a blessing and want to thank everyone for their prayers, concerns, thoughts, and keeping me company each day. I am suppose to stay at the hospital for the next 2 to 3 months, so they can monitor me and the baby, and just incase I go into labor. They have no clue why my water broke 3 months early, but I have been blessed that my baby has not tried to deliver. He has been real strong and blessed, despite having no fluid in my sac. God works, and prayer works, so I just pray that everything goes well for me and my son.
Update:
After all that time on bedrest, on October 22nd 2008 I was blessed with a precious little boy at 7:17am. Weighing 2 lbs 7.8 oz and 14 1/4 inches long. God has blessed my little man to be very strong and atrue fighter. Hehas not needed any oxygen, medications, or had any complicationssince enterting the world. As of November 13th he graduated from the NICU and is now inStep Down Unit. As I watch him grow and develop everyday, I thank God every minute for this blessing and miracle. Nurses always say preemies are expected to go home around their original due date, which for my son is January 5th, 2009. But since he has been excelling, they next told me it would be around Xmas time that he can come home. The last we have heard is before Xmas time, especially if he conquers the feeding process which we start this week. So pray for us, so I can take my prince home to his castle.
