I'm 17, a senior in high school, and mommy of a beautiful baby boy!! He was born on July 1st 2008,weighed 9 pounds 4 ounces, and was 20 3/4 inches long! He was born with Transient Tachypnea of the Newborn [TTN] which is extra fluid in the lungs causing the infant to not get enough oxygen making them breathe harder. He also was a little bit jaundice. We got to bring him home on July 4th and he has been healthy ever since (except having to be on a bili blanket). I'm so happy that he's finallyhere!!


Weight Keeper/Doctor Visit Updates:
July 1: 9 lb 4 oz.
July 7: 9 lb 7 oz.
July 11: 9 lb 11 oz.
August 7: 13 lb 4 oz. (with clothes - bug bite, antibiotics)



I'd rather waste my life pretending than have to forget you for one whole minute.







Love Poems!

The girl showed him the class picture
"Well that's me...
See that girl with the broken smile?
That's who I pretended to be.."

"I smiled so no one knew I hurt
And the fact that I was broken...
I kept it all inside....
The pain was never spoken."

The boy looked at the photo
And yes she was smiling
But he saw the hurt in her eyes
He traced her broken smile and started crying

"And you see this boy right here
Well that's who broke my fragile heart...
I gave him everything I had
Just to watch him rip it apart..."

"He took it in his hands...
Just to throw it to the side....
He made it fall in love with him
And made me feel nothing more than pain inside"

The boy looked at the picture
At the boy who hurt this special girl
He strangled the light from her eyes
He crushed and destroyed her world

So he said," I don't want your broken smile
Don't fake it with me
I don't want you to pretend,
Don't fake being happy..."

"Because when you laugh
I want to know it's real
and when you smile
I want to know that's how you truly feel"

So he took the picture from her
And he tore it apart
And as she watched
He put each piece back in it's spot.

"Just like I pieced this picture back together
Just give me a little time
I'll put your heart back together too.
I swear to you I'll make you mine."

"I'll make your smile real
I'll put the twinkle back in your eyes
I'll love and cherish you,
...and i promise I won't lie."

So he kissed her
He promised not to let go
Love is what he felt for her
And that is what he would show.
