"I've been through mad different phases, like mazes, to find my way. But now I know that happy days are not far away." -DMX
I am a USMC wife. My husband Steven and I just found out we're expecting our first child! We got married 02.16.2008 and I think it's safe to say we've learned some valuable lessons in these first few months. We were using the, "If it happens, it happens" method of birth control. We have realized now that, if it (sex) happens, it (pregnancy) will happen.
We live in Havelock, NC since my husband is stationed at MCAS Cherry Point. I like to meet people who are going through similar things in their lives, and open-minded people. I cannot stand ignorant people. If you have something nasty to say about the Marine Corps, or really ANY branch of the military, I do NOT want to hear about it. Another pet peeve of mine are girls who fit the nasty stereotype of the "typical military wife." You give us all a bad name. The type of girls whose men are gone less than 2 weeks and they are too scared to sleep, can't leave their houses after dark and haven't washed their hair for days. They need slapped. It's because of them that we ALL get called "dependents." Quite to the contrary of that, being a military wife requires a great deal of INDEPENDENCE! If you can't handle that, you need a different lifestyle. Also, these little girls who are 14 and claim to be military wives make me crazy. I used to be a girlfriend too. And a fiancee. And I have great respect for those girls! But don't claim to be a wife when you're not. Grr. While we're on the subject... Any 14 year old TTC needs to be smacked into the middle of next month. I don't care how mature you are, you do NOT need a baby. Accidents happen. But don't TTC for God's sake!
