My name is Alicia. I'm seventeen & I will be turning eighteen April 22nd. I'm a senior in high school and I am very excited to graduate. I don't plan on giving up! I eventually want to further my education and become an LPN. My dream is to work in Labor & Delivery or in an OB/GYN office! My boyfriend, Billy, and I have been together for about a year and a half. We have had a pretty rocky relationship but we have always seemed to make things work. He is the one with the key to my heart!!!!











We found out 5/26/09 that we are expecting again! A big surprise but very welcomed, none the less! I'm due January 28, 2010.. the perfect way to bring in the new year   We are SO excited for our little BOY, Ayven James to arrive!!








March 8, 2009: AF
April 22, 2009: Light spotting.. period?
May 20, 2009: Noticed my boobs are SUPER SORE! Very moody..
May 23, 2009: Had to buy new bra's! I was a 34B and had to buy a 36C!
May 26, 2009: Finally decided to take a HPT. BFP IMMEDIATELY!
May 28, 2009: First drs appointment. My doctor wasn't in, so just saw the midwife. Had 7 tubes of blood drawn.. weight, BP, all that good stuff.. got my prenatal vitamins. Midwife says she thinks I'm about 6wks along based on my exam!
June 1, 2009: Really starting to get nauseated!!
June 4, 2009: Drs appointment, just saw the RN, did looooots of paperwork.. had more bloodwork (checked HCG levels, Cystic Fibrosis screen, and Hep C test) moved ultrasound appointment to Monday (June 8th) so we can find out my due date faster!   Computers were down so I have to call to get an appointment for next week after my ultrasound. Weight: 92
June 5, 2009: HCG levels came back and are 34,300!!!!! So happy, everything is going so much better this time!
June 8, 2009: First ultrasound!!! Measuring 6w4d with a due date of 1/28/10! Heartrate was 121bpm : ) It's still soo tiny! So excited <3
June 9, 2009: Drs appointment - 6w5d - Had pap test and talked to a different midwife than the first time..I like her a lot better but I wish I would actually see my doctor! She says things are looking good for a healthy pregnancy!! Weight: 94
July 7, 2009: Drs appointment - 10w5d - got to hear our little ones heartbeat <3 It took the nurse a little while to find it but once she did there it was.. very strong.. it sounded like a horse running haha.. midwife told me to take vitamin B6 & Unisom at bedtime to help with my nausea.. never heard of that before but it's certainly worth a try. Weight: 95
July 11, 2009: ER Visit - 11w2d- Had a bleeding scare..baby was active and its heartbeat was strong, 182bpm.. the doctor did a pelvic exam and said my cervix was completely closed, and it was just my cervix bleeding and the bleeding was almost stopped. They said the bleeding was most likely caused by sex, and that everything was okay with baby.. thank god!
July 13, 2009: Drs appointment- 11w4d - Follow up withmy midwife from my ER visit, babys heartbeat was slower than usual, still normal though. The midwife said I broke a blood vessel in my cervix from having sex.. and said no sex for 7-10 days and then after that keep a close eye for more bleeding. If I bleed anymore they will look closer into what is causing it. Things are looking good; no more bleeding thank god! Weight: 97
July 24, 2009: ER Visit - 13w1d - Had non-stop vomiting for over 24 hours.. called the doctors office and they said to go to the ER for fluids and some medication.. potassium levels came back pretty low from vomiting so much so I had to drink this nasty stuff to bring it back up..
July 30, 2009: First WIC Appointment - 14w - Went really good.. had my iron checked and it was 11.4 which they said is good.. watched the video and learned how to use the checks. I got my checks for now until October, and I gotta say I get A LOT of stuff! LOL .. Weight: 97
August 4, 2009: Drs Appointment - 14w5d - Got to hear babies heartbeat again which was a little slower than usual but still good and strong! Discussed my AFP test which I have to go sometime next week or the week after for. I will be scheduling my gender ultrasound at my next appointment!!   Things are going well! Weight: 99
August 11, 2009: Changed doctors!!
August 13, 2009: Felt baby do a flip in my belly! - 16 weeks exactly  
August 19, 2009: First appointment with new doctor - 16w6d - Doctor is really nice, I like this office a lot better than my old one. My heartbeat was out of whack whenever he listened so he thinks I may have something going on with my heart.. I have to have an EKG and an ultrasound of my heart Sept 3rd. We scheduled the big gender ultrasound for Sept 3rd too! I had my Quad Screen done today, too. Weight: 100
August 20, 2009: L&D Visit - 17w - Thought I was having contractions.. got to see our little one on the ultrasound. Baby has big hands, long arms, and long fingers just like Daddy! It decided to sit with its feet over its privates so we didn't get to see the sex. Cervix was completely closed; not in labor thank god!
August 22, 2009: 17w2d - Billy felt baby kick from the outside!! I'm starting to feel regular kicks.. soo excited  
September 3, 2009: 19w - GENDER ULTRASOUND - IT'S A BOY!!!!
September 3, 2009: 19w - Ultrasound & EKG of my heart - have to wait for the results!
September 14, 2009: Doctors appointment - 20w4d - Went okay.. got to listen to his heartbeat like always. The ultrasound tech at my ultrasound didn't get a measurement of Ayven's kidneys so I have to go for another ultrasound October 6th. I scheduled it for a different hospital this time that does 3D ultrasounds!! My EKG & Echo came back okay. I got my paperwork for my 1 hour Glucose Tolerance Test that I have to go for at 24 weeks. Everything is going well!! Weight: 108
September 28-29, 2009: Labor & Delivery Stay - 22w4d&5d - Started bleeding at about 10:30pm.. called the doctor and he said to head to L&D.. got there and got hooked up to the monitors, found out I was contracting but not anything painful. My cervix was still closed but softening..Given a dose of Procardia and they told me to get comfy I wasn't going home for a little while.. so I got some sleep and the dr came in the next morning, checked me and said I was still completely closedand sent me for an ultrasound to check for Placentia Previa or Abruption. Ultrasound came back okay and I was sent home on bedrest for a week!!
September 30, 2009: L&D Visit - 22w6d - Mooore contractions that I could feel! Monitored for an hour and sent home because the contractions stopped!
October 6, 2009: 3D ULTRASOUND! - 23w5d - Ayven James is perfect & he looks just like his Daddy! He weighs 1 lb 5 oz.
October 6, 2009: Drs Appointment - 23w5d - Just a check-up, everything is going okay. Weight: 112
October 9, 2009: 1 Hour GTT Test - 24w1d - Went alright, the stuff didn't taste as bad as I thought it would!
October 17, 2009: L&D Visit - 25w2d - Lost 3 pieces of what I thought was my mucous plug.. monitored for a few hours and sent home..
October 19, 2009: Drs appointment - 25w4d - Gestational diabetes test came back normal.. I am Anemic though.. started on iron pills 2x a day. Dr checked my cervix and I am still soft but completely closed thank god! Weight: 119
October 22, 2009: WIC appointment - 26w - got my checks for now until January, scheduled my appointment to add Ayven after he is born!! Had my weight checked and I weigh 121... how the HECK did I gain 2 pounds in 2 days?!?!?!
October 28, 2009: L&D Visit - 26w6d - Had the worst pain I have ever experienced alll over my back and into my stomach.. thought for sure I was going into labor. After a few hours.. my doctor comes in and lets me know I have microscopic blood in my urine and says I have a kidney stone & I just have to wait for it to pass!!
November 11, 2009: Drs appointment - 28w6d - Got paperwork to have another urine test since my kidney stone STILL hasn't passed & it's causing me pain whenever it moves.. discussed an Elective C-Section, will find out at next appointment if I will be having one or not! It all depends on if my insurance covers it. Starting my appts every 2 weeks now. Weight: 126

We also have a little one in Heaven. We found out July 23, 2008 that we were expecting. I started bleeding August 2nd, and August 4th my hCG levels had almost completely dropped andmy doctor confirmed that our baby was gone. Our hearts were broken but we knew we had to go on for our future babies! I was only about 5 1/2 or 6 weeks so we never even got to see our little one on ultrasound but he/she is still in our hearts and thoughts everyday! <33

I know, after my last sonogram the baby was measuring 5 days early...but we can still be due date buddies
