alllast visit: 21st Aprmember since: Jun 15th 2008about me:
i have a son named Lucas who is 6 years old and has autism. I also have a daughter who I deceided on open-adoption with when I was 19. I see her occasionally. Riley was born on November 13, 2008 after two long hours fo labor!! He is four months and 2 weeks old now. He has been spitting up really bad since he was born. I was told he was fine and he'd grow out of it...I went to a differnt doctor the next day...same answer. The third doctor gave him Prevacid to try....thank you very much for at least trying!! I LOVE his new doctor!! . His doctor staarted to get concerned when he was 3 months old because he was already sitting on his own and is extremly strong. His weight was 18pounds at the time and was eating 48 oz of milk per day!! We think he was drinking so much because it made the pain better for a little bit. They also think that is why he is so strong becasue he's almost always tense in his muscles and you can't even pull his arms straight out without him coming with. I started him on cereal to cut down his milk intake and nows he's getting fruits and veggies also. It's helped alot with the reflux because he's drinking less. He is 21 pounds now and 25 inches long. He is seeing some specialists in April. They are going to do an x-ray while he swallows and some upper GI studies. Then he goes over to the Feeding Clinic. Hopefully the can help him...poor baby...can you imagine being in pain and not knowing how to tell someone. I had no idea because he never really cries I just thought he was strong!! I did notice he started sleeping with his back arched to the right when he was 2 months old...that's when I stareted to worry. He always spit up alot but he was gaining weight so I figured it was ok because that's what everyone said. Please.....be an advocate for your child and never take no for an answer if you think somethings wrong,,,,you are their only voice!!! Please pray for Riley that he can have some comfort soon!!!
