Noah's Labor Story:
After all of my whining I went into labor onFebruary 11, 2009 atmidnight! My water broke right at midnight and we were off to the hospital! When I got there I was only 2cm but 100% effaced. They let me labor alone until 7am at which time they started Pitocin. I was able to get through the contractions alone for almost 8 hours when I couldn't take it anymore! They had maxed out the pitocin and I was contracting every 2-3 minutes for about a minute long with about a minute between each and I was only 4 cm! It was overwhelming! So I got an epidural and it migrated south and only numbed my butt and legs so after 20 minutes of sobbing I got ANOTHER epidural! And it was HEAVEN! I finally got to sleep a little and four hours later I was 8cm! Then within one hour I was ready to push! I started pushing at 10:05pm and Noah Robert was born at 10:49pm on February 11th! He was 8lbs 4oz 21inches long.

I'm very nervous/excited in this new chapter in my life! My husband and I have been married for two years on August 5th. This was a complete shock but we are so excited to welcome this precious baby into our lives!

What's been happening:
June 15, 2008 (Father's day!): BFP x4
June 17, 2008: BFP: Blood test
June 23, 2008: First Doctor's appt and ultrasound. Saw the heartbeat for the first time!
July 14, 2008: New OB appt. pregnancy panel blood work drawn.
August 20, 2008: Third doctor's appt: got to hear my baby's beautiful heartbeat and got the news that I needed a cerclage ASAP.
August 22, 2008: Had cerclage put in. Also had an ultrasound and got to see the baby's spine and heart and beautiful little body kicking back and squirming around in there!
September 2, 2008: Doctor's appt: check-up from surgery. Everything is fine. Baby's heartbeat: 156bpm.
September 18, 2008: It's a boy!! The ultrasound went sorta well... my baby boy didn't want to cooperate at times and it was hard for them to get a good shot of the heart but they said everything was fine! Baby's heartbeat: 152bpm.
October 1, 2008: Doctor's appt: check-up. Yay for getting an internal exam at every visit now! :-( Baby's heartbeat: 149bpm.
November 5, 2008: Doctor's appt: check-up. Everything looks fine! Having BH contractions- doctor said to come in if >4 in a an hour. Ordered bloodwork and glucose tolerance test. Shower in less than three weeks! Baby's heartbeat: 140's-160's.
November 13, 2008: Went for glucose tolerance test and bloodwork. Tested blood sugar on my dad's meter and it was 128 after the test and waiting an hour... we shall see!
November 26, 2008: Doctor's appt: passed glucose test and bloodwork looks fine. Finally in the positive weight gain (+2lbs) and measuring right on target. Baby's heartbeat: 150's. Found out that we will be going for appointments every two weeks now and will be getting non-stress tests EVERY WEEK! It's getting close!
December 23, 2008: Doctor's appt: we have been going to the doctor's and hospital quite frequently (ever week for NST's). Today I had the normal exam... everything is status quo. Heartrate was 147. Doctor also did GBS test so we will see how that turns out!
