Hello, I'm Monique, my husband and I got married on August 2nd, 2008 and have been married over a year now.I am a nursing student due to graduate with my BSN in August of 2010. On June 9th, 2009 we found out that we are expecting our first child. We are so excited for the arrival of our baby and can't wait to hold our little one in our arms. Our due date is February 14th, 2010!!












June 9th: Took hpt and got BFP, I was an emotional mess and called Husband crying in excitement.

June 12th: Got into dr's office asap due to cramping. Did u/s and everything looked good, it was only yolk sac, couldn't see baby yet, and didn't get official due date since couldn't see much. Got blood work done.

June 15th: Results in from blood work. HCG was 23,000 so dr said i'm between 4-6 weeks more likely 4 since u/s showed early pregnancy.

June 29th: First official dr's appointment. Got u/s and EDD is February 14th, 2010, our little Valentine  . Heart rate looked great couldn't hear it, but def seen it, it was amazing!!

July 13th: Got into dr's office asap due to slight spotting. She said everything looks great and it was dried blood. I was so relieved. Got to hear our baby's heart beat (170 bpm) and I bursted out in tears. It was music to my ears and the most amazing sound I have ever heard. I'm so glad the baby is doing okay.

August 3rd: Had 2nd prenatal appointment. We came to the conclusion that our baby likes attention lol. The dr couldn't find a HB for nothing. My husband and I were freaking out, so she did an U/S. Luckily, baby is healthy HB was 165 bpm and baby waved to us on the U/S. We're so relieved our baby is healthy..

August 10th: Was in ER due to bleeding. Luckily baby is great, but I do have a placenta previa. Dr want's to monitor it every 2 weeks to see if it'll move up. So i'll be getting U/S every 2 weeks and get to see baby grow. Basically I am on bedrest without her officially saying it.

August 26th: I have gained 6lb total =). Baby is great. HR was 155 bpm.

August 28th: Ultrasound to check on my placenta previa, there is a blood clot they are worried about and want to keep eye on, and it's a BOY!!

September 15th: 3D ultrasound schelduled and confirmation of gender, he's still a boy..

September 21st: Prenatal appt, baby is doing great HB 165 bpm.

September 22nd: 3D U/S redo since the first time Keanu was sleeping.. At first they thought he was a girl, but he was just playing with his manly goods and pulled it up so high he looked like a girl from the angle they were getting him at lol.. He is a typical boy playing with himself already, poor baby is bored in there lol.

September 28th: Anatomical and official gender scan. He is still a boy and was very active throughout scan. Keanu is measuring 14 oz and expected to be a big boy. Placenta is moving up slowly but surely, I have 2 inches still lower than wanted so specialist is going to continue to moniter and see if it completely moves up.

October 18th: 23 weeks, Keanu let daddy feel him kick for the first time. Daddy was on cloud nine =)

October 19th: Prenatal appt, Keanu's heart beat was 160 bpm, I am measuring 28 weeks and I am only 23 so Dr is concerned that either Keanu is a big boy or that I'm retaining fluid so I have to do my gestational diabetes screen early. Other than that baby is perfectly healthy and doing great.

October 27th: 3d ultrasound we got a lot of great shots of our baby boy. He is perfect combo of momma and daddy =)

November 2nd: Specialist appt, Keanuweighs 2lb 4 oz (BIG BOY), and there is fluid around him so have to continue to be monitored. On happy note, my placenta previa is now gone !!

November 9th: Prenatal appt, Keanu's heartbeat was 155 bpm, I'm still measuring big 30 weeks to be exact.But I only gained 1 lb in 3 weeks  , I now moved on to 2 week appts.




First trimester:
Month 1 = Weeks 1-4-Complete
Month 2 = Weeks 5-8- Morning Sickness boo
Month 3 = Weeks 9-13 -Done
Second trimester:
Month 4 = Weeks 14-17 - Adios
Month 5 = Weeks 18-21 - Been there done that
Month 6 = Weeks 22-26 - In the process of baking
Third trimester:
Month 7 = Weeks 27-30 - Incomplete
Month 8 = Weeks 31-35 - Incomplete
Month 9 = Weeks 36-40 - Incomplete
