My name is Lauren Nicole, and i'm just another girl with a dream in her heart. I'm currently in school. If it weren't for me getting pregnant, I wouldn't have gone back. I plan on going to college and studying hair. I want to be a cosmatalagest.

I'm seveenteen years old, and believe that i'm not too young to be a mother or wife. People seem to think differently. They believe you have to be a certain age to raise a child properly. I believe that your age doesn't matter, as long as you're mature and willing to give up your life to raise another life. I believe i'm ready for that.


I'm currently twentyfour weeks pregnant, and I can't wait to meet my baby. Babies are beautiful, and I don't understand how anyone could ever do something as horrible as getting an abortion. If you believe you're mature enough to have sex, then you should be responsible enough to use protection. You know even before you start to have sex that it can lead to pregnancy. If you're going to have sex unprotected, prepare yourself for becoming a mother / father. If you get pregnant, step up and take responsibility for the miracle growing in your stomach. Don't use abortions as a form of birth control. It's cruel. I've never been more against anything in my entire life. Anything that has started out as life deserves a chance.

Before I was pregnant, I always imagined going to the stores and buying cute little dresses and thinking of the color pink. Ever since I saw the most gorgeous little boy at the mall one day, i've been looking at little tee's with footballs on them and thinking of the color blue.If/ when I have a daughter, her name will beAshlynn Brianna. And i'm having a son,whos name will be jayden Paul. Neither name is over used, and they're both so gorgeous. Please don't take my names. I thought very long and hard on these names. Thankies.



I want to be the mother that my children can come to and tell everything to. I don't want my children to feel like they have to hide things from me. I don't want them to. I want them to trust me with their lives.


October 8th 08 - I had a doctors appointment today. It went really well but the abnormal cells on my cervix have gotten worse. Anyway, my doctor measured my tummy today. 20 inches. (I think that's what she measured in lol.) Afterwards, she felt around trying to find the top of my placenta thengrabbed the doppler machine. She put the gel on and started listening. Baby kicked and she looked at me confused. "Did you feel that?" Haha sure did. (She saw the kick from the outside of my tummy.) She said i'm feeling kicks VERY early and that i'm really lucky.



On August 15th, I went for a FTS (First Trimester Combined Screening).They did an ultrasound for about 15 minutes. (I got to watch the entire thing. They had a screen at the end of the bed I was laying on.) Anyway. My baby is perfectly healthy, and there's nothing wrong with it. No limbs are missing or anything. = ] Here's what the results were:
Fetal Heart Rate: 163 bpm.
CRL: 80.0 mm.
NT: 2.2 mm.
BPD: 26.3 mm
Risk baby is at for trisomy 21: 1 / 11, 477.
Risk of baby is at for trisomy 13+18: 1 / 44, 545.



June 11th 08 - First positive home pregnancy test.
June 12th 08 - Second positive home pregnancy test.
July 7th 08 - First doctors appointment. (Scheduled ultrasound.)
July 23rd 08 - First ultrasound. (Saw baby and it's heartbeat.)
August 8th 08 - Blood work.
August 15th 08 - FTS Screening. (Baby is perfectly healthy!)
August 25th 08 - First pre-natal appointment.
September 9th 08 - Ultrasound. (It's a boy!)
September 22nd 08- Ultrasound.
October8th 08 - Second pre-natal appointment. (Heart rate: 125bpm)
