Our Adoption Profile
I love being a mommy to my
THREE sweet little boys!! They are the hardest job ever, but the most rewarding. Each day is something new and I try to savor every precious little moment. They always keep me laughing.

I have been a
dental hygienist since 2001 and enjoy picking gunk off of people's teeth. I only work about 1 1/2 days a week, so I get to spend lots of time with my babies. I LOVE it!

With my 3rd son I was introduced to
cloth diapers. I would have bet money that never in my life would I use cloth diapers. Little did I know how much I would LOVE them!

With all 3 pregnancies I was hospitalized numerous times with
Hyperemesis Gravidarum...a severe form of Morning Sickness (more info at
www.helpher.org ) In the beginning I figured it was normal and it would pass. Little did I know it would become so severe that I required IV treatments, hospitalization, numerous medications (zofran, phenergan, b6 with unisom, ear patches and sea bands) and bedrest. With each pregnancy it was different. #1) It ended the moment my son was born. #2) It ended at 7 months #3) Most severe in the beginning, ended at 5 months, leaving me time to enjoy being pregnant for once. Hurrah!!!
It was an easy decision to decide to have a tubal ligation (tubes tied) after my 3rd son was born. We knew it would not be good for our family to go through the HG again. Evidently I inherited it from my paternal grandmother and I was just going to have it every time. I participated in a research study through UCLA and they are trying to do genetic tests on women and control's to find what causes this disease.

I hope one day we may be blessed with a
daugher through
adoption.
In the spring of 2008 we got a phone call asking us to adopt a friend's friend's friend's baby...crazy, I know. We were not in the situation at the time to adopt, after all, our youngest was just 6 months and financially it would not have been easy. We prayed about it and a week later told them we could, if they had not found a family that did not have children of their own. It turns out that they had! We were all ecstatic!!
After seeing what she was going through our hearts really went out to her. It turned out I also had another acquaintance going through the same thing. We knew we would love to have another child and made ourselves adoption ready.
We are hoping to adopt a girl of any race. We are working with an agency out of Florida. We can't wait to get the phone call. I have already bought
bows and dresses! There will never be a doubt in anyone's mind about her being a girl. I may just go insane with buying too much pink!!
