Hi all
My name is Leah and I'm 17 (as of Halloween 2007),27 weeks pregnant, due Feb. 8th 2008 with a baby girl whom we've decided to name Savannah Leigh (Savvy for short)! I'm both scared & excited at the thought of being a mommy, but at least I have the support of my wonderfulfiance (Mark, whom I love with all my heart) and my great family (my Daddy was really shocked & angry at first, but he's slowly come around). My little brother & sister are thrilled at the thought of having a baby niece to play with soon lol.

Mark & I are hoping to get married & move out on our ownby June of '08, but until then the two of us are living with myfabulous family. To help us gainour goal of independance we're both working (him full time & me part time) & I took some extra summer classes so that I can take a week or 2 off when Savvy gets here in Feb, but still have enough credits to graduate with my class in May of '08. We're both still going to school full time as well (thank God it's senior year for us both & we have very light work loads!).

In addition to work & school Mark & I have signed up for an insane amount of baby/birth/child care classes! Ever since becoming pregnant I've had this almost obsessive desire to learn all I can about pregnancy, birth & caring for a baby. Lots of classes taken, lots of books read. I want to know all the different options, I want to be able to make well informed decisions for my daughter. And whileI want to be as prepared as possible, I don't plan to do everything by the books exactly. I plan on trusting my instincts and just going with whatever works for our family.

While this pregnancy was totally unexpected & unplaned, I truly feel that this is where I'm meant to be in my life right now. I can hardly wait to start this amazing journey called motherhood!

I love my life, & I feel so completly blessed.
