Hubby and I are expecting baby #1 in early April! We are over the moon with excitement! See below for our daily updates!
UPDATE (Wednesday, August 13 7:30PM EST)
I'm 6 weeks tomorrow and I definitely already have a little pooch of a stomach. And by little, I mean...I can barely fit into my skirts these days. I didn't expect to have one so soon. Anyway, I have the same symptoms - thirst, hunger, exhaustion...oh, and still peeing 3-4x a night. I'm now pretty good at finding my way to the bathroom in the dark. We're very excited for next Thursday's ultrasound!!! Keep your fingers crossed for us. We're hoping to see a little, healthy heartbeat!
UPDATE (Monday, August 11 10PM EST)
Nothing new. I actually need to eat every 4 hours or my stomach starts to growl. ha No desire to eat anything sweet at all. Still craving milk and fruit (mainly pineapple and bananas). Thought I was going to sweat to death at work today. Got extremely hot for some reason and actually had to go for a walk outside (in August) to cool down. My temp is still higher at 99-99.2 (has been from day 1) so perhaps that has something to do with it. My torso area is already expanding. My clothes are already getting very tight and I now look extremely bloated just about 24-7. ha. We're counting down to the ultrasound on Aug. 21!!!
UPDATE (Sunday August 10 6:30AM EST)
Woke up at 5:45am this morning with my stomach growling (very unusual for someone who never eats breakfast until 9am or so). I immediately devoured a bowl of cereal and now I'm headed back to bed. I don't know if it's a craving, but I think I've had about a gallon of milk in the last two days. Got up 3x during the night (thanks bladder). Still feeling sluggish. Very mild cramps on and off. Thirsty. Vivid dreams. Here's a new one - hungry!
UPDATE (Saturday, August 9 9:30AM EST)
I hate the lovenox shots to my stomach.
UPDATE (Friday, August 8 8:30PM EST)
More of the same today - exhausted all day. Came home and just collapsed on bed. I should take this time to say I have the BEST HUSBAND. Seeing how crummy I was feeling, he went to the grocery store and came back to make me a fabulous dinner. So other than being more hungry than the norm, I'm also still thirsty - all the time. Little anxiety from this loooong wait until the ultrasound on Aug. 21. I actually bought a pregnancy test on the way home today "just to check". Silly, I know. It just all still seems to good to be true. Needless to say, I think my hormone levels are still fine. The preggo line showed up in about half a second. haha. Still no morning sickness. I'm definitely looking forward to a nice, lazy weekend!
UPDATE (Thursday, August 7 6:30PM EST)
So we just got back from the Doctor. We were there for almost three hours! We didn't really learn anything new. I had a pap (yuck) and they asked us a ton of questions. They scheduled me for my first dating (radiology) ultrasound for two weeks from now - at our seven week mark - so Thursday, August 21. We were told that we should be able to see the heart by then...our fingers are crossed! We were also scheduled for our first abdominal ultrasound - on September 4. I'll be 11 weeks at that point (at the end of my first trimester - how crazy is that!?). Anyway, we're very excited and just hoping for the best. I still feel OK. Minor symptoms - still no morning sickness (woohoo!) but thirsty, tired, very moody and peeing constantly. haha Such is the life of a pregnant woman I guess. I'm loving every minute of it. :-)
UPDATE (Thursday, August 7 12 Noon EST)
We're 5 weeks today and we have our first official doctor's appointment this afternoon. I had all my blood tests run last week so at least that's out the way. As for symptoms, I really don't have many. I have occasional heartburn, very minor cramping, excessive thirstand sore bb's. Oh, and I also get up to pee about 4x every night. ha. I have factor v leiden, so I started lovenox shots (1x a day in the stomach) a little over a week. Those are FUN and SUCH a great start to my day. Luckily, I have a wonderful hubby to administer the shots (I nearly passed out at the Doctor's office during my lovenox training last week).
We're very excited for our first "real" appointment this afternoon. It's still hard to believe we're pregnant. Our fingers are crossed that everything continues to go well!!! I am so anxious for our first ultrasound!!!
