I am a first time mom-to-be who is getting more excited with each passing day! Currently I am working on a B.S. degree in Conservation and will more than likely be continuously washing out reuseable diapers rather than adding disposable ones to our growing landfills.

I have decided to take a break from school this term due to the placenta previa I have been diagnosed with. It will be best for Isaac if I stay off my feet as much as possible since I already ended up in the hospital... I don't want to end up back there until he comes. The doc already told me that if I am admitted again, I will not be released until it is time for my c-section. I can't imagine lying there for 8 weeks. I have been tentatively scheduled for the c-section around Janurary 2. His daddy's birthday is the 4th! Lol.Too bad it happens to be a Sunday.

I went for my 30 week appt yesterday and am happy to report that Isaac is well. His little heartbeat was strong and the doc seems pleased that I haven't had any further complications at this point. Still will be having a c-section but when I am not certain of but my next u/s is next Wednesday so maybe after that I will find out for sure.

I had my 34 week appt last week and have been officially scheduled for a c-section on January 2nd!   Only 11 more days and I will see my little guy. I still have one more u/s tommorrow and an OB appt on the 29th just to make sure all is in order before the c-section. I am a little disappointed though because the doc I have been seeing will not be doing it. Apparently she is leaving for an extended vacation just before the new year so I will be stuck with a doc I never met.   She will be seeing me 1 more time though and will know who will be doing the c-section so hopefully it is someone she has confidence in. Guess I am still a little nervous about having the c-section especially because I know it will take longer to recover and worries about the epidural but as long as my baby is here and in my arms, I will have no complaints.

Isaac weighed in at 5lbs 5oz at my u/s on the 24th! Fingers crossed that he hits the 6lb mark before my c-section in a few days. 5 more to be exact... Wow. 5 days and I'm going to be a mommy. I'm still in denial lol.

Little Isaac arrived on January 2nd at 10:04 PM after a extremely long wait for the OR. He was 6lbs 6oz and 18 inches long.Cutest guy ever... butthen again I may be a bit biased.  

Thank you for your comment. I am so excited. I really hope I will be half a good of parent as my dad is to me and my in laws to my hubby... It would mean so much to me to be able to raise a child to be a good human.
