I'm currently 29 and live in Illinois with my son and husband. We lost our second child, a boy, Gavin, in December of '08 when I was 4 and half months pregnant. I have just received my Bachelor's and Master's in Education and a Master's in Medical Administration and am working on a nursing degree.. I love being a mom and since Gavin's death I think I cherish life a lot more now, which is probably the only positive thing to come from his passing. Our third son, Nolin was born on November 3rd, 2009 at 38 weeks and 6 days. He was 8 pounds and 8 ounces and was the most beautiful child I have ever seen. My husband was so happy and I'll never forget the look on his face which pains me so much, it was a look of childlike joy. Nolin was born unable to breathe on his own due to a severely affected brain stem and small cerebellum. He was ventilator dependent from his birth until his death on Jan. 1st 2010 at 7:55 p.m. Half of the light of my world has been snuffed out and I don't think I'll ever be the same.
Our 4th son, Adin, as born on June 25th 2011 and he was 7 lbs and 7.8 oz. He was absolutely perfect and he was our first baby to actually leave the hospital with us. Our first son, Ebin, had lung issues and had to stay there. Adin is almost 1 now and everything has been wonderful, thank God. Ebin is going to start kindergarten and we have other big news to share....
My husband and I have been blessed by a 5th pregnancy and this baby will be due in January, though likely born in December. I just hope and pray everything goes fine this time around.
