I guess it's time to write a little about us. My name is Laura, and my little guy is Vince. He was born August 9th, 2007. I went drug-free which I didn't think was too bad, but he was a little guy, so I'm sure it wouldn't have been nearly as pleasant if he'd been bigger. He was born at 4:45 in the afternoon after a 7:30 am induction and he weighed 5 lbs 11 ozs. For me, breastfeeding was seriously one of the hardest things I've done, at least at first. His blood sugar was really low, and he couldn't stay awake long enough to eat. He just wouldn't latch on. After about three days he finally got the hang of it. Even though he was a huge surprise, (we definitely weren't trying yet, though we were talking about it) I haven't regretted a minute of it. My husband, Jason, and I have been married for 3 1/2 years.
