I am just a laid back out going not your run of the mill kinda girl. I'm loud, and I speak my mind whether you want to hear it or not. If you ask my opinion I will give it to you even if it hurts your feelings, if you want things sugar coated you've come to the wrong person.I married my wonderful husband January 25th, 2008. And we welcomed our first true little miracle on 2 weeks early due to medical complications April 15, 2009 @ 5:34pm she was 6lbs 15oz and 20in long. I had a fairly complicated pregnancy, at 11 weeks 5 days I had emergency surgery to remove my appendix. I got put on light bed rest at 23 weeks after some heavy bleeding. At 26 weeks I was put on modified bed rest because of preterm labor I dilated to 2cm . I was only allowed to get up to move from the bed to the couch or to the bathroom or to get something to eat or drink, and obviously to my dr's office once a week for ultrasounds and NST. At 28 weeks I started having this awful itching that wouldn't stop, at 29 weeks the itching was diagnosed as Cholestasis. It is a liver disorder that for me didn't really pose a threat, just the severe itching, but it did raise my daughters chance of still birth by 60% every week I went past 36 weeks. At 30 weeks my LO's growth and movements started slowing immensly it was caused by the cholestasis. I was then sent for NST's and 2x weekly ultraounds Her growth was a big cause for concern, we were worried about stillbirth. At 35 weeks my fluid levels started dropping with no explination. At 36 weeks we started talking about induction, I wanted her to stay in and grow, but that wasn't working, then finally at 37 weeks I developed pre-e and was spilling a lot of protein in my urine and with a pre exisiting kidney condition that wasn't good for me. We thought I'd go into labor on my own because at 37.5 weeks I was 5cm and 100% effaced. They wanted to induce that day, but I said I wanted to wait and try to go on my own, so they stripped my membranes twice hoping I'd go into labor, but I didn't so I finally had to be induced for my health and the health of my LO.


I was diagnosed with severe PCOS in 2003, I did not have a period for almost 3 years. We were told that I would never be able to concieve, guess I proved them wrong! My husband and I had planned on TTC again when Raven turned 3 months old, so that hopfully we would be welcoming a new LO by the time Raven turns 16 months, That is being postponed for the moment due to a pending knee surgery. I get a lot of rude comments about TTC so soon after having Raven. If you have a problem with me TTC don't bother talking to me, I have my reasons for it, mainly being the trouble we had concieving Raven.. I just hope that I am lucky enough to be blessed with the chance of bringing another miricale into this world.
