I am 28 years old and expecting my first child with my husband, Gus. We got married on July 14, 2007. We have two furry babies - a spoiled black lab/collie mix named Mandy and a Turkish Angora with one blue eye and one green eye named Kitty.

I am a kindergarten teacher in Spring ISD. I may come home in a bad mood sometimes, but I really do love teaching - no two days are the same! I also hope that some day the kids in my classroom will remember me and how I made a positive impact on their lives. My husband is a library specialist at the Music Library at UH. He is currently working on his Masters in Library Science.

My husband is hoping for a boy (I think just like every other man out there!) and I am just hoping for a healthy baby. Although outwardly I am rooting for a girl just to be opposite from my husband.

If it is a girl, I would love to name it after my two grandparents that passed away - Isabel (my grandmother) Amanda (my grandfather Armand). If it is a boy, we will probably name it Gustavo but the child will have a middle name (unlike my husband) of either Jesus (his family tradition), Jose, or Edmundo (both of which are in his father's name).

We can't wait to find out!
