I am 24 yrs old. I live in Sun Valley, California with my boyfriend Jesse. I have one child a 5 year old boy I adore named Miguel. My boyfriend has an older daughter named Alyssa. Neither Alyssa or Miguel reside with us. Although this new baby will in no way replace our existing children, he/she will be our first child that will get to raise and be there everyday of his/her life for everything. We are very excited and know that we will appreciate so much the life of this new child taking not one moment for granted!

8 Weeks-
Just had the worst experience ever at the dr. I left in tears! First they sent me to a dr. so far from where I live and give me the wrong address so I end up at the wrong place first! In the waiting room they made me hold my own pee for 30 min until I was called. I finally get in the ultrasound room and theres still a condom and lube on the ultrasound wand fromthe lady who just walked out before me. I wait in there for 20 min naked and freezing (with Jesse) and the nurse comes in and says I have to wait at least 20 more min cause the dr. got called to delivery! Jesse was mad by then he told me to get dressed and that we were leaving. I agreed this place totally sucked but I wanted to finish the appt. since it was the first appt. I had and I already had to wait like a month before they'd see me (they said I had to be 8 weeks first) It was suppose to be such a special day, getting to see my baby on the ultrasound and everything making sure everything was normal. It was ruined though! I was crying. I was worried about the baby (although i'm sure everything is fine) since I hadn't seen a dr. yet. and hadn't had prenatals. Plus I have a bladder infection and can't sleep cuz I have to pee literally AT LEAST 10 times a night! I was hoping to get that treated! We went home and called around to different dr. and found one that takes my insuraunce in a nice area that sounded friendly and had a opening soon. So my appt is Friday we will see how it goes! Maybe it is for the best this dr. is near a nicer hospital and they actually answer there phone unlike the other place! wHAT A NIGHTMARE!

9Weeks?- (or 12 weeks read below)

So went to the dr. today. Had to wait forever and Jesse's car ended getting towed(parked in a space during wrong hours!), but I'd say the appointment went well. I was satisfied with the new dr. we got. I will be delivering in West Hills hospital and although it is far I think it is worth it. The dr. informed me today that my uterus is quite large indicating that I am either 12 weeks along instead of 9 or that I am having twins. It's more likely I am 12 weeks along Ithink. The dr. did find a heartbeat and it is easier to detect a heartbeat by the 12th week (from what I remember reading anyway). I am very excited though. This means the baby will be born sooner of course! And now there is an explanation of why I am so "big" already as Jesse said! Looks like the baby was concieved on the 4th of July!
Anyway, I think that is kind of special!The new Due Date is....March 28,2009!


14 Weeks 2 Days-
I had a bad experience at work today! It really scared me! It's like I totally felt out of control and everything faded out. I got super pale started shaking and sweating. I didn't want to cause a scene or make my boss think I could work anymore, so I tried to take control and tell myself I was ok. It was no use I had to grab onto someone and convince them I wasn't joking and I was seriously going to faint right there! I had to sit down in the middle of my busy shift and drink juice and eat soup. I slowly started feeling a better. Someone was luckily able to finish out my shift andI was able to go home.

18 Weeks 5 Days-
I've really been feeling the baby move, more and more everyday for the last week! Last night was exciting. I was laying down after I got off work and the baby was moving like crazy, when I put my hand tight to my abdomen I could even feel it move against my hand! When I sneezed I think I scared the baby, it really went crazy kicking!
I wanted to see if my BF could feel the baby moving, but he wasn't home.
It's getting harder to work though. I get short of breath sometimes and after awhile my back aches and my abdomen gets really sore. It feels similar to carry around a bowling ball between my legs and this "bowling ball" is only going to keep getting bigger and heavier! I feel lethargic most of the time as well and it's also getting more and more awkward to walk and bend over. Last week I started leaking colostrum. Everytime I get these new symptoms or they get more pronounced my friend and I joke that wow, I really must be pregnant or that now I'm "real" pregnant, as if before it had just been make believe!


36 Weeks-
So uncomfortable! Swollen and achey. Can't sleep! Had my babyshower, it was a success. I had a lot of contractions that day though from doing so much running around! I feel like I'm almost ready to have my baby. Just a few more weeks!
