my name is sarah, i recently gave birth to the most beauitful baby in the world!


here is my labor story

i had my 40 week appointment tuesday april 21, they checked my blood pressure
and freaked because it was reallly high, apparently id developed pre ecclampsia
so my doc says shes going to admit me and have me induced in the morning!
they hook me up to my monitors and everything and matt leaves to go get
the hospital bag, but while im layin there my water breaks..soo they call my
doc and go ahead and start the pitocin (that stuff is EVIL).
the next few hours were a blur of pain and cussing at matthew
i kept asking where the hell my epidural was but every time they checked me
i wasnt quite at 4 cm. and the guy was busy, well they had checked me and
i was still at 3 1/2 but 45 minutes later i started feeling as though a
head were trying to pop out of my vagina, and i was at a freakin 10!!!
no epidural for me.
my doc didnt make it up there in time, the nurses started wheeling the baby
bed in there and telling me not to push, which was reallllly hard not to.
so some guy walks in and im like who the hell are you, and apparently he was
going to deliver my baby.
they FINALLY let me start pushing and i was sortof glad to not have the
epidural because i could curl up and have my hands on some handle things at my
feet which helped me push more efficiently.
the part that hurt the most was the crowning! plus the guy was stretching out
my hoo ha which was cool because i ended up not even needing stitches!!
5 pushes later out plopped lila belle!!!
it happened very fast, the nurses were pretty weirded out by how fast it was.
they laid her on my belly and she screamed and screamed.
they would only let one person in at a time because my BP was scary high
and they kept reminding me i could have a seizure which was not cool.
i didnt get to keep her that night but i got her the next morning and she
took to my breast right away! i was so proud.
anyway thats how lila was brought into the world!
